It’s a great feeling to play for a Head Coach who loves his players, and is willing to stand on the table for them! That's the type of leader you want to go to battle for!!! Love isn't just what you say, It's what you SHOW, and he consistently shows it through his actions! 🐎

I know most people feel like their college coaches are the best. Well they are all wrong because mine is. Combined athlete, husband, coach and man. Hal Baird has no equal.

For most of us, success is easy to recognize. A promotion. A championship. A bigger business. More recognition. But what if success isn’t the ultimate measure?

“Baseball is not who you are. It’s what you do.” It can be a very real struggle to not let identity be tied to a place or a position. Or even a purpose. That’s one of the questions behind “Beyond the Scoreboard”. CoachSteveSmith.com

Working to please God brings peace and prosperity, trying to please man brings stress and anxiety. Choose to follow Christ and he will direct your paths.

Notice how Confederate Yosemite Sam calls blackface slave Bugs Bunny "one of our boys" and then calls him a traitor when he plays the Yankee song Confederates viewed Black Southerners as one of their people and not simply as cattle
We used to be able to make fun of ourselves.

TURNING THE BARREL UNDER YOUR HANDS CAUSES LOSS OF POWER AND POP UPS. Never was a fan of ARod but his and Albert’s is exactly how I was taught by the best Rod Carew. Guess who worked with Albert and ARod? Yes Carew. And look at their careers.

Congrats to @CoachGusMalzahn on a great career. I covered one football game as a sideline reporter and it was Auburn vs Mercer in 2017. Coach was always good to me even when I only vaguely knew what I was doing asking him questions!! War Eagle coach! All my best!

Heartbroken to hear about Phillip Marshall passing. He was the first person to interview me after I signed to play football for Auburn. He was a friend from that moment. Amazing writer-loved Auburn-loved covering the men and women who played and coached at Auburn. #Auburnlegend

Like many others, been saying it for years. Anyone who discourages your child from playing multiple sports does not have your child’s best interests in mind. Period.
Early specialization is overrated. Generalists excel over time. Data on >34k stars in sports, music, science, and chess: Focusing on a single field predicts a faster rise, but cross-training foreshadows a higher peak. The most successful adults start off as well-rounded kids.
