ALT A range plot showing the share who say certain items should be a priority for the President and Congress in 2023, by political affiliation. Data is taken from a survey of 5,152 U.S. adults conducted Jan. 18 to 24, 2023. Items that have the largest margin of Republicans selecting them over Democrats include strengthening the economy and the military and dealing with immigration. Items with the large Democratic margins are protecting the environment, addressing issues around race and poverty, and dealing with COVID.
