In November, for the 1st time ever, Scotland produced over 100% of its electricity requirements from wind power alone. It produced 9% more wind energy that it needed & still had output from solar panels, hydro & marine renewables. No wonder Scotland is a net electricity exporter

We have some truly momentous and #recordbreaking news! 😁 In November, for the first time ever, Scottish #windenergy has produced more than 100% of our total energy requirement, enough to power 6 million homes! Please share the news and celebrate the amazing achievement👏

This month in the spirit of Christmas we’re switching up our Saturday Stats and focusing on Christmas Trees! Did you know that pine trees are the only species in the whole world that spreads seeds in cones, and those cones also have genders?
