NRC has granted formal approval for the North Anna plant to operate for 80 years, i.e., until 2058 and 2060 for Unit 1 and Unit 2, respectively. Article link in reply.
Eight US reactors have now received licenses to operate for 80 years. Applications for seven more reactors are currently under NRC review.
