It has been an honor to coach the GS Golf Team for 21 seasons. The opportunity to witness so many student-athletes learn and succeed in the great game of golf is something I'll always treasure. I'm looking forward to following their progress in the years to come. -- Coach Leister

In their retirement, George and Dodie would offer the GS Golf kids drinks as they’d walk down to the old 6th fairway at Hawk Valley behind their home. He will be missed. 💔 😢
GS Athletics is saddened by the passing of former Basketball Coach, George Stroup. He coached during the one of the greatest eras of GS Boys Basketball and was a mentor and friend to many. He will be missed. @ELANCOSD @GardenSpotBBall @LancasterSports @BRC11SPORTS

Thank you to @PIAASports for fighting to provide these opportunities and moments to our student-athletes this school year. These types of memories and learning experiences are as much a part of their education as what happens in the classrooms.
This. Love the emotion. With everything going on in our world, for 60+ minutes, our student-athletes could do what they love. Well done, girls! #SpartanPride
