Burt Jones 🥲 has said more today for Bottoms than he ever said for Rick Jackson.
Nobody really cares, but let’s make note for the record.
I want to congratulate Governor Elect Bottoms and Lt. Governor Elect McLaurin on their victories. The people of Georgia have spoken and I wish them both the best of luck. I am committed to helping them during the transition and doing my part to continue to make Georgia the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

“They viewed Dooley, the out-of-nowhere contender recruited by Kemp, as the more formidable opponent. U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, beset by personal baggage and a MAGA voting record, looked far more vulnerable.
So they set out to help shape the Republican primary.
In August, Ossoff’s team spread damaging research showing Dooley hadn’t voted in the 2016 or 2020 presidential elections, putting him on the defensive before he entered the race, campaign officials say.”
The Republican runoff for U.S. Senate had hardly ended when Democratic incumbent Jon Ossoff gave his senior campaign staff a two-word directive.
“Bury him.” #gapol

It was no accident that @Ossoff won his race by 18 points. He started the general election with two words to his senior staff about Mike Collins: “Bury him.”

No need to sugar coat it. Republicans got their ass kicked last night. As bad as things look in GA, compared to what happened nationally, the GOP here is in relative decent shape. It looks like the Senate was held 29-27. Recounts & a runoff will decide control of the House. 1/

Congratulations to Lieutenant Governor-elect Josh McLaurin. Sen. McLaurin has proven himself to be a formidable, morally courageous leader who tells the truth and fights for every Georgian. We’re ready to see him bring that exact same leadership as our next Lieutenant Governor.

Georgia voters have made their voices heard, and we congratulate Governor-elect @KeishaBottoms on her historic victory. Georgia’s business community stands ready to work with her administration, Lieutenant Governor-elect Josh McLaurin, the Speaker of the House, and the General Assembly to keep Georgia growing, competitive, and affordable.

Tonight, I called Josh McLaurin to congratulate him on his victory and wish him well as he prepares to serve Georgia.
Throughout this campaign, Natalie and I have reminded our children of something important: We believed God called us to run. But that never meant He promised us victory.
We stepped forward in faith, and we leave this campaign with that same faith intact.
I’m incredibly grateful to Natalie, our four amazing children, and the thousands of Georgians who gave their time, prayers, resources, and trust to this effort. You have blessed our family more than you know.
I still believe Georgia’s greatest days are ahead. The principles that brought me into public service haven’t changed, and neither has my desire to make a difference. I don’t know what the next chapter holds, but I know the author.
Thank you to all of our supporters. It has been the honor of a lifetime, and our hearts are full.

Thank you to every Georgian who trusted me with their vote and poured their hearts into this campaign.
We left it all on the road, and I'd do every mile of it again.
Thank you, Georgia!

Mike Collins wraps up a campaign concession speech without congratulating Ossoff - or, as far as I can tell, mentioning his name at all. #gapol
U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff easily wins reelection over U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, coasting to a second term after throttling his Republican rival. #gapol

While Ossoff, Bottoms and Democrats have been talking up "whole ballot energy" in Georgia, U.S. Rep. Mike Collins is mostly having to go it alone. ajc.com/politics/2026/10/mid…

The Georgia Chamber congratulates Senator Jon @Ossoff on his reelection to the United States Senate.
We look forward to continuing our work together to support Georgia's businesses, strengthen our state's economic competitiveness, and expand opportunities for Georgians across the state.

Mind the gap: One telling indicator tonight will be how closely Keisha Lance Bottoms tracks U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff in the returns. If Bottoms can keep it remotely close with Ossoff’s pace, it will signal a big night for her campaign for governor - and Georgia Democrats down ballot. #gapol
“National GOP groups long ago shifted money once earmarked for defeating Ossoff to other races…When Republican Rick Jackson holds rallies around the state in his bid for governor, Collins isn’t just absent from the stage. He’s not mentioned at all.” #gapol #ElectionDay
