Tune in tonight for a very special episode of Cold Takes, when we sit down with Video Game Guru Tristan Ibarra, author of the Massive Video Game Collector's Field Guide! We'll be unboxing and showing off these beautifully researched volumes and talking games! See you at 8pm EST!
Rearranging the game room and man do I love how these turned out!! All part of the research for one of my future books. Stay tuned!!! If you want to see my current books on sale, go to vgcollectorguide.com!
@BauerOutage, gotta say. I HATED you a few years ago when you gave the sword and ear gesture to my team (the Giants), but after watching your content, you're a fucking badass. Hope you get to play in the MLB again someday. Good luck in Japan!

Got the amazing video game collectors field guide from my good friend @VGConsoleGuide! Make sure to grab your copy today. It’s on sale for the holidays here: vgcollectorguide.com/categor… This is one book series you don’t want to sleep on.
I don't want to assume that's the case, though. And if this isn't previously known.... I'll leave the record smashing and follow-up video to you ;). Oh, and check out my books here vgcollectorguide.com if you haven't heard of my work! Cheers! - Tristan
I remember telling my friends about the exploit at the time, but I've never heard it mentioned anywhere online, nor did I ever publicly share it (though I'm never on the respective forums, mind you). If this is already known, oh well!....
but I would hold it most of the way up. Well... this also affects your forward movement speed in game. If you do this, your forward movement will be normal maximum speed PLUS what was added when you turned on the console....
which means that any downward movement of the analog stick will be cancelled out. Navigating menus to start levels would be difficult if not impossible and so when turning on the console I would never hold the analog stick all the way up....
The stick will drift up on its own when you navigate the menus. The analog stick has degrees of tilt of course and so if you hold the stick all the way up when you turn the console on, holding all the way down will only offset "center" to true center....
I don't know if it's known to the community or not or if it's even considered fair play as far as these records go, but if you hold up on the N64 controller analog stick when you turn on the N64, the game's idea of analog "center" is altered....
@karljobstgaming I watched your Dam in 51 video & it piqued my interest because back in 1999 I made an accidental discovery in which I currently can't find any reference to that would break Goldeneye records completely....
