This Sunday decided to go to Swineham Point to see the Red-spotted Bluethroat, with @ajordanwildlife (thanks for driving mate), the walk wasn’t helped by my dodgy knees, but was well worth it… stunning little bird @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK

I haven’t posted much for a while, so thought it was about time to put a couple together. Here are some of the Great Bustards on Salisbury Plain, from last Sunday (12th). Some fairly close displaying, was brilliant to watch @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK

Taken a while to get these sorted, sorry about that. But, here are some pix of the pair of Lesser Scaup, all taken last Saturday (28th March 26). Hope they are worth the wait? @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK

Forsters Tern, Poole Park last Sunday (8th), showed really well, but we were all let down by the misty, dull & horrible weather. But still better views than I had at Arne… @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK

Finally a day with some sunshine at Chew Valley Lake. Not a lot around sadly, but the Drake Ring-necked Duck showed well in Herons Green Bay

While waiting for the Temmincks Stint, at Slimbridge, to come closer. I aimed the camera at other things, and was quite pleased to get some flights shots of Snipe…..not done much editing on these either….

What to do with an hours light after work? Well I'm glad I used it in the car park last Ham Walls RSPB tonight, with this unusually showy Ring Ouzel. Made the right choice for a change....

Trip to try to photograph a Bairds Sandpiper at Rutland today, with @bri66thomp turned out well, as you can see. Good to see some friends there too, & many well behaved too

Bit late, but finally managed time to process some photos, from Saturday at Cheddar Res. Leach's Storm-petrel showed well, and I'm sure some of you have seen enough pix, so here are some more...🤣🤣🤣. Tried to find something a bit different as well as just sat on the Water.

Well the weekend started with a very distant Red-backed Shrike at Portbury Wharf, on Friday, & ended with a showy juvenile Turtle Dove near Nailsea….shame weekends are so short these days 🤣🤣🤣

A return visit this morning, to Chew Valley Lake, turned into a good move, when the 1st Red-necked Grebe since 2012 was found. A Summer plumaged bird too….sadly stayed too distant for decent pix. But, when the Spotted Sandpiper lands right in front of you, it eases that…

Nice to see @bri66thomp’s Spotted Sandpiper at CVL today. Mine won’t be the best shots of the day, but still chuffed to get some. Congrats again Bri @RareBirdAlertUK @BirdGuides
