Hey Everyone, The next scout thread should be up this evening (I was busy yesterday). In the meantime, check out the other threads I have done, with a brief description of how they'd fit into Glasner's system (they were written months ago)! #cpfc

Pre-game protest at Selhurst Park vs Liverpool on 08/11/2026 Crystal Palace fans will be protesting outside the Main Stand on 08/11/2026 against the current club strategy, which prioritises tourists instead of regular match-going fans. Please note that the protest is not about results; it’s not about the football. But it is about the way the club has treated its own fans in the last few years. The fans are the backbone of this football club. We do not accept the current direction that the club is taking us, selling our soul in the process. -Protest outside the Main Stand at 13:00 -We will not be taking our seats until 14:05 to show the club what the stadium would be like without the fans. We’re worried about the future of the football club, we want what’s best for Crystal Palace. But right now, there is a massive disconnect between the club and fans. Please read the following pages for the reasons that Crystal Palace fans are protesting. THE FANS ARE THE CLUB #thefansaretheclub ————— Tickets: Prices for a single match ticket can be up to £70. These prices are aimed at tourists who are happy to pay for a membership and match ticket to see a one-off Premier League game. These prices are unaffordable for local fans, particularly young South Londoners. As a result, despite being in our most successful period, our fanbase is not growing, as shown by our Europa League attendances. Crystal Palace officials are sacrificing a long-term strategy for short-term gains. We have also found that since the digitalisation of tickets, the club has been squeezing as much money out of fans as possible. It costs an extra £50 on top of the cost of a Season Ticket for the privilege of sharing your ticket with your mate or a family member. Matchday Experience: The club has changed the experience at the stadium from being a gritty South London club to a sanitised, Americanised experience. We now have loud, generic pop music played all the way through until the kick-off of the game. We have club-funded flag bearers. We have club-funded pyrotechnics. We have club staff walking up and down the stairwells selling pom-poms. We even had the club try and force a new ‘club anthem’ on us. This is not Crystal Palace. We are a fanbase who have historically created our own atmosphere. The club has lost sight of what made us special in the English game, of what our unique selling point was, and the club has destroyed it. Restrictions: The club has deliberately made it difficult for fans to show their support. The fans have previously asked for the music to be turned off prior to key games for the fans to show their support. The club denied these requests, citing ‘regulations’, we now know this to be a lie by the club. The club has also drowned out supporters with music after key wins. At the Shakhtar Donetsk game, the players were left visibly bemused by this decision. The club has unnecessarily restricted banners and displays that have been funded and produced by the Crystal Palace fanbase. Rail Seating: In 2018, the club asked fans to sign a petition to legalise safe standing in England. We obliged. Safe standing has since been legalised and, eight years on, there is no sign of any being implemented in the home areas of our stadium. It has meant that the ground has become stagnant, as we have not been able to grow a sustainable singing section. ———

Deano being back is huge. Not just for shot stopping, but also for communication at the back.
🆕 Dean Henderson is set to start against Fulham, Pierre Sage has said. The Palace captain has been sidelined with an ankle injury since Crystal Palace’s 3-2 Premier League win at Fulham in September. “We will see on Wednesday about Jorgen Strand Larsen. His ankle twisted. For Ismaila Sarr, it’s difficult because his groin makes him struggle. “He was able to play 15/30 minutes, we tried to push more in Lyon, where he played 60, but it’s really difficult for him. “In his performances, he’s run less – especially fewer high-speed runs. He needed treatment to give 100 per cent to help the team. I think Dean Henderson will play on Wednesday.” Note: Pierre Sage’s pre-Fulham press conference took place directly after Palace’s Premier League defeat to Newcastle on Sunday. #CPFC

The system injured him
🇸🇳 Sage on Sarr: “It's difficult, because his groin is really making him struggle. “He was able to play 15-30 minutes. We tried to push more in Lyon. He played 60, but it's really difficult for him. And I think you saw in his performance, he ran less, especially with high-speed runs. “We spoke together yesterday, and we took the decision to leave him out, because he needs treatment to come and help the team with 100 percent of his capacity.”

It's all well and good sending messages of support, but if you can't be arsed to help out defensively, then what's the point?
Understand that Pierre Sage will take charge of Crystal Palace’s games against Fulham and Tottenham this week but is expected be sacked if they lose against Spurs on Saturday. Told that a couple of leading players in squad have sent messages of support to the Frenchman

And before anyone comes at me moaning "system this, system that," the below is the first half on our RHS. - McNeil drops so 2 v Hall - Richards very tight vs Barnes - Khalaili following Hall underlap - Even if Joelinton joins, it's still a 4v3 situation.

This was all broken down on @eagleeyedball last night, and more parts of the games FYI.

On the one hand, that's fair given it's a results business. But on the other, he's been left hung out to dry. As was Glasner, as was Roy V2, as was Vieira, as was Roy V1.

I appreciate that this is a massively unpopular opinion, but I think Sage has taken measures to shore us up. Yes, I know we've conceded 4 goals, but it's come from 4 SoT/1.67 xG. That and Newcastle was played 4 days after Besitkas.

The problem is that people care far too much about being there and miss the bigger picture. The best action is to just not turn up, or scan your ticket and stay on the concourse/go to the pub. Otherwise it's not buying things at the stadium or club shop.
Replying to @BillPepperShack
Also, for those saying there is nothing the fans can do to stop the current trajectory. That’s nonsense. The fanbase just needs to work together, which admittedly, we haven’t been very good at in recent years.

In addition, we could do things that get us fined by the PL. I don't know what exactly, and there is probably issues with legality of a lot of them too. In Germany, tennis balls were thrown on the pitch to delay games - maybe that's an idea to disrupt the game.

Yes, the 3rd choice England GK starts over the #2 and probably starts over the #1.
