🗞️ if your team is too busy doing their 'normal job' to experiment with AI, you're preparing them to be replaced

In this post, I guess this's the last time I'll say it. AI use is no longer optional if you wish to be employed. What follows is advice for current employees and hiring managers on how to hire in 2026 to source AI-first candidates.

is it time to turn the internet off yet

daily reminder you can run agent loops to identify O(n) and automatically resolve low performance if you have instrumented your code correctly.
What if I told you the secret behind good loop engineering is also the pattern for rapid security incident response?
For folks in 🇸🇬, I'll be [1] speaking at containerdays.io/containerda… on Oct 27. Cya soon?

If you value your time, then OpenAI just isn't it right now.
Poor service availability, and inference is super, super slow. This isn't even about model quality; the problems go far beyond that. @claudeai is 100/100 better choice right now, faster inferencing, better availability and the models are better too.

[1] software factories are super real but we need to be realistic. the factory aspects haven’t been cracked yet, the [3] innovators are toying around with discovering practices and pieces.
if someone is selling you a factory rn and they aren’t in the super small cohort (ie. they are likely startups created in last six months!) or circa <10 people in the who’s-who, who have been trying (and realistically failing) over the last two years.
they are selling bullshit.
it isn’t cracked but it’s a puzzle that’s being solved daily. the best practices right now are to build abstractions/pieces needed which entails solving [2] non-agent topics.
[1] almost lights out.
[2] sandboxing, monorepo, reproducible builds, ci/cd, identity/secret management, smashing corporate friction in the realm of devex for agents.
[3] at home, in your homelab, you should be cracking on this problem space in your free time if you want a super fast promotion and red carpet service at your next interview. highest roi you can have right now is learning the entire damn stack, automating it and showing it at your next interview/doing a recorded talk at a meetup.
Is there anyone I know at Google who can help me?
I want to start publishing an Android app for overalls, but my [email protected] Google Play account is "closed," and Google wants me to create a new account (how? This is my Google Workspace account!)
kinda hostile and shitty developer experience. Perhaps I don't even bother with the platform.
someone should vibe code up something that uses your computers webcam and detect if a cat has sat on your keyboard and then lock out keyboard input until the cat is no longer on the keyboard.
hey folks, is there anything better than fastlane (the oss project) these days (or a service I can insert credit card with) to solve native app store deliver (macos, windows, android) cc @Grokipedia

Sorry everyone... We're announcing a 0-Day vuln in QUIC that allows anyone to remotely turn off a server running these libraries. I swear we didn't plan this.

meowinton concurs. this has been a crazy week for cyber.
here’s the thing: this is the start of the new normal and its only gonna accelerate. you’ll need more inferencing capacity than your attackers to defend. not great. not great.
the best way to play the game is to not play the game. don’t run your servers on the clearnet. there’s no reason your business could not offer wireguard keys as the only interface for connecting to your apis.

Did somebody say make Antithesis play Starcraft? Here it is beating a competitive bot with a zergling rush. This is not even really trying yet. Blog post forthcoming.
in other news overalls.dev now has redaction of sensitive material because humans are clowns and paste sensitive stuff into jira/agents.
