Trump on Russian strikes against Ukrainian civilians:
“Most of those killed are soldiers, mostly young soldiers. There are also some people from a city that gets hit, or something like that, but mostly young soldiers.”
Just yesterday, Russian forces killed children in Ukraine's Kharkiv region. A Russian drone struck a park where families were spending time together. Among the victims was a baby killed in a stroller. The photograph of that innocent child has spread around the world.
These were not soldiers. They were civilians. They were children. And their lives cannot be dismissed as “some people from a city that gets hit, or something like that.”
