If you look at the roster when Mahomes entered the league, not only was he throwing to Hill and Kelce but he also had Watkins as a WR2 and then D-Rob as his WR3. Both guys had stable careers outside KC and provided fantastic value. WR1 through WR3 were all perfectly cast for their roles and were all legit NFL caliber WR’s.
If you look at who they’re rostering now, the only guys that are NFL caliber are Rice and Thornton but I would argue that only Thornton is thriving and appropriately cast for his role. Rice isn’t a WR1 and never will be but KC’s coaching staff continues to miscast him in that role. Worthy isn’t even a football player lol. He should be running track for the U.S Olympic team.
There is 0 chemistry in this WR room. None of these guys are YAC threats. None of these guys can separate consistently. None of these guys are deep threats Thornton is out). None of these guys are competent past the LOS which is why the passing attack has to be catered to them by running the offense within 5 yards or behind the LOS.
The WR room was bad in 2023. We’re on year 4 of this and the team has done very little change that.

Patrick Mahomes has saved so, so many reputations in just one franchise.
We have been doing so well running from under center this year... and then tonight we have ran 3 plays from under center.... shocking that the offense is predictable as fuck and is getting fucking worked over!

Right now my favorite way to talk with my agents is through iMessage.
Claude code, Hermes, codex -----> all setup to talk via text.
It's so simple and doesn't rely on me having a remote session or anything. I'll often talk to my agents via a terminal app on my iPhone but there is this one dead zone on my morning walks that kills the connection. iMessage just works.
Setting it up is relatively easy.
- Use photon
- Hermes has a built in way to connect
- Claude Code and other terminal-based harnesses will need a bridge that you can have your agent put together pretty quick.
