Everyone associated with that show seems to have been as wonderful as you’d want them to be. The real Star Trek was the friends we made along the way …

MAGA Catholics are defending +Golka against something he and fellow bishops themselves criticized and regretted? This hurts my brain.

This is the way diehard rightwingers operate -- remember Pope Francis getting ambushed with the Kim Davis meeting at the end of his 2015 visit by his own ambassador, Archbishop Viganò: 1/3

Vignanó is a favorite of USCCB conservatives and had a hand in the appointments that Francis and now Leo are dealing with -- no coincidence that +Naumann was also part of the Oval Office Op with Trump... 2/3
Preach:
Cam Skattebo on penalty: "The NFL loves to post me when I do stuff like that but then also wants to take stuff from me. I'm going to run the ball like I want to run the ball. If I'm going to continue to get flags for it or fined for it, guess I'm going to play for free." #giants

Shout out to the New York Times reporters liking our posts on this & writing me that this isn’t even a close call
We gave the Times the chance to do the right thing yesterday.
Instead, they’re going with an argument that basically boils down to:
*We randomly produced our first ever plume model about the exact same incident that Hunterbrook exposed with a plume model
*We randomly took a lead photo of the exact same home on the exact same street
*We randomly interviewed the same expert
Etc.
They wrote a great story. Obviously, we care about the subject deeply. It’s just a huge bummer for our team and the reporters who worked relentlessly on these stories.

Catholic bishops regret White House prayer photo with Trump, say it was used politically apnews.com/article/donald-tr…

"We came in good faith to try to work for the betterment of our fellow human beings, to ease their suffering, to build up the common good, and to pray with a president, not to pose for a political photo opportunity to benefit the few." -- Archbishop Grob on Trump prayer video

Your country is being looted
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

“What number is this, Chip?”
“7-A!”
This weekend marks the anniversary of “Daydream Believer,” released on October 25, 1967.
Written by John Stewart of the Kingston Trio, and produced by Chip Douglas, it became one of those records that seemed to be an instant hit. Davy sang the lead, I sang harmony, Mike played guitar, Peter played piano, and Chip was there on bass and percussion. Shorty Rogers supplied the orchestral arrangement.
The single became our third No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, holding the top spot for four weeks. It also reached No. 1 in Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa, No. 2 in Australia and Norway, No. 4 in Germany and Japan, and No. 5 in the U.K.
Peter came up with that instantly recognizable piano introduction, and the B-side was “Goin’ Down.” It had actually been recorded during the sessions for PISCES, AQUARIUS, CAPRICORN & JONES LTD., but wound up appearing on THE BIRDS, THE BEES & THE MONKEES instead.
Let's hear it for "Daydream Believer!"
