My author copies of the book finally arrived and the book looks great! I’m very excited about this publication. I recently did a Q&A with the newspaper, The Jewish Vues. Links to order the book and read the Q&A to follow

Waiting for the morning prayers to start 5 minutes later today because sunrise is getting later due to Daylight Saving Time. If we don’t change the clock to Standard Time, we will have to continue starting later and later.

They can’t figure out what the Mishnah means so they say: “Let’s go out and learn.” Sometimes you need to leave your comfort zone and talk to people outside your normal circles in order to understand. Sometimes you need to leave the beis medrash. (Yerushalmi Terumos 5:2)

Today, the earliest time to put on tallis and tefillin in NYC was 6:20am. I and presumably @DBashIdeas found it difficult. It’s only getting later until we change the clock! Tomorrow’s 6:15am commuter minyan will have problems. Standard Time is important for the morning prayers!

I read from this on Shabbos @ShabbosReads Chilazon HaTecheiles by R. Mordechai Cohen is a sustained argument against the identification of murex trunculus. Many convincing points, although some not so much. A highly recommended read.
