Heard there was some drama on DTC X, disappointed to see it's nothing major same old stuff 😅
Apologies to anyone that messaged me recently, I'm not that active on here anymore so you're best off catching me on LinkedIn instead:

OK this is a HILARIOUS story I heard from inside Meta:
You know when Director+ folks write stuff that is clearly AI slop? But everyone is too polite to say anything. Happened a ton inside Meta's internal "LinkedIn" (Workplace**)
BUT morale is so low that lots of devs no longer gave a damn. So they started to call out, in the comments. Savage comments, just no longer caring.
And the result is... these AI-written slop posts are... gone from Workplace!
** it's not really an internal LinkedIn, more like their own version of Facebook, but is used to communicate projects, ideas, learnings etc. This comparison I felt more apt, given the AI slop happening especially on LinkedIn (that LinkedIn themselves encourage by offering to AI write your posts)

We’ve received notice that the Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5.
We'll begin restoring access tomorrow, and will share an update soon.
We’re grateful to our users for their patience, and to everyone who worked with us on redeploying the models.
most of our shopify stores are down (for some reason Euro/UK ones seem ok, it's all US/Canada so far)
I properly lolled at this

don't forget the part where you beat the final boss then come back the next day and he's right there waiting with his army of related media at his side.
went to build a handful of ads to help my team out, as I do occasionally to keep my eye in. Here is my experience:

- it automatically generated 5 additional...
this whole thread could have been an ad for a tool like Ads Uploader my team uses ( which you can check out here: adsuploader.com?atp=0SaPPU) but it boggles my mind that Meta's ad UI has got so bad most advertisers have to use 3rd party tools just to build ads.
this is wild.
and also doesn't surprise me with how most of our US accounts have been the last few weeks
Claude design is pretty great but wow is it thirsty. This was on around 33% from building the initial deck and the rest was only tweaking text
