I will never understand why they always treat Madonna as an old granny that should retire or just die yet you never see people treat Cher, dolly, Janet or even Joni Mitchell like that

God I wish anglophones would get over themselves and just vote Québec Solidaire. There won't be any referendum, Jesus Christ, just vote for the party with the best ideas for your day to day life. 😭😭😭

She was the lead actress in my favourite film (The Lady Vanishes) and I try to see as many of her films as possible, but some are really hard to find. So far I’ve seen 33!
1970: The Aristocats
1971: Duel
1972: The Poseidon Adventure
1973: La nuit américaine
1974: The Towering Inferno
1975: Monty Python and the Holy Grail
1976: Network
1977: Suspiria

It's crazy that not only did Montreal used to have a bunch of neighborhood cinemas, there would be MULTIPLE cinemas in every neighborhood -- sometimes on the same block. What an embarrassment of riches we've lost.
Discover my review of the excellent GASLIGHT (George Cukor, 1944), which brought Ingrid Bergman her first Oscar! Written on my companion blog Three Enchanting Ladies.

Remembering my favourite actress, the great Ingrid Bergman, who was born 111 years ago, on August 29, 1915 in Stockholm, Sweden. Unfortunately, today also marks 44 years since she left. For the occasion, I re-watched Gaslight and now I started The Visit. So far so good!
