GOD IS GOOD!!!!!
STATEMENT FROM JACK CAMPBELL
My family and I want to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and support we’ve received over the past few days. It means more to us than words can express.
I’m incredibly encouraged by the progress I’ve made in such a short period of time. I have full movement in my lower body, and I’m continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body. I know there’s still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better.
My faith in God has never been stronger. I know He has a plan for me, and I trust in that plan. I know there may be challenges ahead, but with my faith, my family, and so many people in my corner, I know we’ll get through this.
I especially want to thank the athletic trainers and medical personnel who responded and cared for me on the field. I know those were difficult moments, and I’m incredibly grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and care you showed me. The way you handled everything and looked after me when I needed it most is something I’ll never forget. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I also can’t say enough about the incredible care I’ve received from the medical team at Henry Ford Hospital and the Detroit Lions medical staff. They’ve been amazing to me and my family throughout this process, and I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done.
To my teammates, coaches, and everyone in the Lions organization, I want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. This team is a family to me, and the way everyone has been there for me means everything. I’m proud to be a Detroit Lion and couldn’t ask to be surrounded by a better group of people.
One thing I’ve learned about Detroit is that this city is built on toughness, resilience, and grit. That’s exactly how I’m going to approach this challenge.
Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers. We feel the love, and I can’t thank everyone enough.
God is good. My faith is strong.

Nothing like starting a Sunday evening shift as the sole supervisor on site with a fire alarm to keep employees on their toes. To make matters worse, they waited in the rain for 45 minutes until the fire department gave us the all clear, AND we don’t even know what set it off.
Despite being a fan of most analytics, I can’t get behind this one. I’ve yet to hear a compelling argument for it. Miss the 2PT early and now you’re down two scores with no shot at winning. Miss it later and you at least had a chance to tie the game.
This is one of those analytical points I’ll never get behind, and I’ve yet to hear a compelling argument for it. If you don’t get it now, then there is no getting it later. You’re now down two possessions instead of the one you would be by kicking the PAT first.
Harrison Smith really put off potential retirement just to miss a TD-saving tackle because he was blocked by - *checks notes* - JARED GOFF!!!
The Lions have lost three starters on the defensive side of the ball today. 😭 Hopefully Wonnum and Branch are back next week, but prayers up for Jack Campbell. That looked bad.

The first NBA.com Rookie of the Year Ladder. The writer is an awards voter. Oh well
How do the Pistons come out two nights in a row looking like they just don’t want to be on the court sans the first quarter against the Knicks?
These posts are always funnier when you consider the fact that Yaxel didn’t start playing organized basketball until he was 18. There are kids in high school right now that have had as much if not more structured time on the court than Yaxel does despite being 6-8 years younger.
He’s got 99 problems, and 98 of them are that his music catalog isn’t Super Bowl halftime show worthy.
I guess it’s fair if you want to say it’s a little uneven in Philly’s favor. Embiid’s only averaged 32 games played the last three seasons, so y’all are used to this by now. Meanwhile, Detroit was missing two starters who each played in 70+ games last season.
Valid points on both sides.
Also true: Joel Embiid has played in 99 of 250 games going back to the start of the ‘23-‘24 season. When your star player is only available for 40% of games over the past 3+ seasons, you kind of lose that cop out going forward. That’s a roster issue.
Detroit was charged a timeout using a challenge to force the refs to get this foul on Cade Cunningham overturned. Why are teams being penalized for the refs being poor officials??
