Warsh today: "While the Committee has decided to hold the policy rate steady today to evaluate the cumulative impact of our previous actions, inflation remains unacceptably high, and we will not hesitate to adjust policy鈥攊ncluding at our December meeting鈥攊f the incoming economic data shows that further tightening is required to return to our 2% target."

All base metals weak except copper.

Now the TTF futures curve is starting to rise.

Economic cycle up, economic cycle down. We are currently in an uptrend, so oil will go up.

Forget about rate cuts. The Fed wants to raise rates.

Silver to oil ratio. If this trend continues down, you know that the silver miners will get decimated. Revenue down and costs up. Margins squeezed.馃槪

No individual can easily put all these variables together in their head. The computer does, and it has had a phenomenal track record. In 2013, it projected war would begin in Ukraine. In 2011, I said the war cycle would turn up in 2014. That was the Ukrainian revolution.

Diesel will rise. I do not see this reaching a conclusion until next March. So Europe will be in an energy crisis, the Democrats will cheer Zelensky destroying all the Russian refineries. Even if we have a very strong El Ni帽o, that is expected to dominate, and its typical impact is to bring warmer-than-average temperatures to many regions, the computer is still projecting rise in diesel prices, so either the El Ni帽o forecast is wrong or Zelensky takes out more refineries.

7d average of implied hormuz flows is 9.7 mbpd, this likely gets revised to just over 10 mbpd. Down maybe 20% from peak and holding. Persian Gulf loadings have declined though and are back at August levels, and Red Sea loadings have also slowed in the most recent satellite pass.
Implied hormuz flows have drifted down 25% from peak to 9.8 mbpd 7d avg. Some of this might get revised away as happened with my last update but I think it's real this time because PG loadings show a similar drift down. Today is also the lowest single reading since Sept 3rd
