Dennis somewhat regrets having tried the night shift. Having lived his entire life on a farm, he was a creature of the day; he would never get used to this.
Luckily, the shift is fairly quiet, so he decides to step outside for a cigarette. As he lights it, he notices a violet sweater—one that looks all too familiar.
Victoria is sitting on a chair outside the ward entrance, her legs pulled tight against her chest.
"Everything okay?" he asks, tucking away his lighter and exhaling a cloud of smoke.
Victoria quickly wipes her face and lets out a sigh.
"I'm sorry," Dennis says, trying to give her some space.
"No, it’s fine. It’s just... my mother."
Dennis sits down beside her, weighing whether he should say anything. He takes another drag from his cigarette and exhales.
"She used to look at me with a certain pride... now, she looks at me as if I have a terminal illness or something. She can’t stand seeing me work in psychiatry."
Snow falls slowly onto the sidewalk, beginning to pile up. It is a surprisingly peaceful night, despite the young woman who seems to be filled with regret.
"I’m sorry to hear that," Dennis says, dropping a couple of cigarette butts onto the ground. "I know what that’s like."
"You do?"
"Hey, I have a degree in theology. What more proof do you need?" Dennis laughs.
Victoria manages a smile, followed by a stifled laugh, leaving behind the restlessness and sadness she had felt just moments before.
"How do you live with it?" she asks, moving a little closer to him.
"You just live. They’re the ones who have to live with it."
Victoria nods, resting her head against his shoulder. She sighs, joining Dennis as they watch the snow falling over Pittsburgh.
A warmth floods her cheeks as she catches the scent of his hair. She needed to know what shampoo he used.
"Thanks, Den..."

if i don’t get to read robby’s cock pounding his young intern’s prostate/cervix for a month i’ll do something drastic
#Hucklerabbot
Robby was painting the walls a pastel green as a summer breeze drifted in through the window of the old guest room. His trusty "biker" playlist played softly in the background.
Jack was on his knees, assembling the crib with his old power drill and making sure it was rock-solid.
"All done," Jack said, placing the small mattress into the crib.
"Go ahead and put the sheets on. I think Dennis left them on the dresser," he suggested, and Jack nodded.
Dana had gifted them a beautiful set of sheets featuring olive colored turtles. Jack beamed with excitement; after all, Dennis’s labor was set to be induced in just three days.
Jack had never felt such profound peace in his entire life. He was lost in thought, imagining how the room would look once the baby arrived, when suddenly, Dennis walked in carrying a massive box.
"Whoa there, pup, let me help you with that," Jack said, taking the box from him and catching a glimpse of his partner’s full term belly. "How many times do I have to tell you not to lift heavy things?"
"It’s no big deal. It wasn't even that heavy."
"What’s in here?" Robby asked, gesturing toward the box as he wiped his hands; it seemed he’d finished painting the wall.
"Mom sent it from Nebraska. It’s some of my old baby stuff," Dennis explained while Jack held the box. Dennis rummaged through it and pulled out an adorable mobile.
It featured four embroidered horses: one caramel-colored, one spotted, one black with a white muzzle, and one entirely blonde.
When activated, a sweet melody began to play as the horses spun in a counter-clockwise direction.
"It’s perfect," Jack said with a smile, setting the box on the floor and helping Dennis hang the mobile over the crib.
Robby hugged Dennis, kissing his forehead as they watched the newly assembled crib. Once he finished attaching the mobile, Jack moved to the other side of Dennis.
"We’re going to have a baby," Dennis said, excited and a bit emotional.
The three of them stood there watching the mobile spin, wishing with all their hearts that the little one would arrive soon.
For what other reason would a man need so many pockets? #FreeGerran

#HuckleRobby (Teasing)
Lately, Robby has made a sport of teasing Dennis. Sometimes he places his hand on the small of Dennis’s back; other times, he pulls Dennis’s chair closer to his own, just so he can subtly wedge his knees between Dennis’s legs.
Every provocation ends the same way: Dennis develops an involuntary erection. Robby notices—he notices everything that has to do with his "golden boy"—and laughs every single time.
Dennis is always forced to dash off to the restroom, just like a teenager.
"Ah, Sweet youth," Robby thinks, mentally tallying how many times Whitaker has fled his sight in response to his relentless, tactile teasing.
Meanwhile, Dennis is constantly mortified. He’s no longer a teenager; he’s a full-grown adult. He shouldn’t be having reactions like this—especially not with his boss. But no matter how hard he tries to keep himself in check, it’s as if his brain and his dick are completely disconnected.
Eventually, Dennis decides to seek his sweet revenge.
Before heading home, he takes advantage of the shift-change chaos, grabbing a random medical chart so he has an excuse to walk by in a hurry. With so many people and hospital staff around, no one notices as Whitaker brushes past Robby.
They also don’t notice Robby fighting the urge to place his hands on Whitaker’s waist—nor do they notice Whitaker’s ass rubbing, for two full seconds, against the crotch of the head of the emergency department.
Dennis smiles triumphantly, while Robby feels as though his trousers are about to burst.
Jack was right; at times, he was an insolent brat.

the concept of frank meeting dennis at the apartment only to see that mel is already there to hook up with trinity
#Whitsantos
As a child, Dennis would never forget the day he and his family stopped at a rest area.
On a bulletin board, there were several posters of missing people: children, adults, women, and even the elderly.
David, his older brother, had told him that many of them had run away from home, while others had likely fallen victim to heinous crimes.
Regarding the first possibility, how could someone simply choose to vanish from the face of the earth? Wouldn't they miss their family? Young Dennis couldn't quite wrap his head around it.
Now 27, Dennis waits for Trinity to emerge from the restroom at a similar service station, only to find himself facing another bulletin board, this time in Pennsylvania.
He wonders: what are the chances that his own face might appear on a poster like this back in Nebraska?
The answer terrifies him.
"Huck? What's wrong?" Trinity asks as she reappears and steps up beside him, looking at the faces of the missing people from Pennsylvania. "It’s pretty terrifying, isn't it? I mean, thinking about why they disappeared."
Dennis nods, his blue eyes fixed on the face of a young girl who bears a slight resemblance to Trinity.
"I like to think that they escaped from terrible things and that they actually made it. That they’re living their lives in peace now, with people who love them," Trinity explains. "That they’re happy, wherever they might be."
Dennis looks at Trinity; her expression is blank as she gazes at a picture of a blond boy, then she smiles and interlaces her fingers with his.
"Let’s go home. It’s your turn to cook today." Her laughter rubs off on Dennis.
As they get into the car, the restless feeling inside Dennis finally begins to subside.
He doesn’t regret a single second of anything.
