Has anyone ran the Massanutten 100 Miler? Need my annual 100-miler for Western States. I like the Silver Buckle if you finish in 24 hours - pewter for 24+. Plus they have a separate division for solo runners (no crew).

Oh, they are different platforms. I thought it was a before-and-after comparison. 🤦‍♂️

Only 150 spots. $243.89 to register + flights and travel expenses. Unlimited 4.167-mile yards (laps). Lottery results in five days. Hope I get in. @zachpogrob are you going?

Living at home after college is the norm in other countries. Save money and put a down payment on a house or start a profitable business. Either way it's better than renting and living paycheck to paycheck, but being “independent.” - I tried both ways!

The A goal is 2:58. Started at 4:17. Just ran 3:52. Targeting 3:25-3:30. Progress.

Note to self: Hank went from 3:30 to 2:34. Massive, epic improvements are possible.
I think a lot of runners seriously underestimate how much room they have to improve. I ran 3:30:28 at Boston in 2022. On Sunday, I ran 2:34:49 at Chicago. Almost an HOUR faster. And I don’t think I’m particularly close to my ceiling yet. The biggest factor for me has been consistency. Not one incredible training block, but years of gradually building fitness and seeing how far I can take this. If there’s one thing I hope people take away from following my running, it’s this. PLEASE don’t put a ceiling on what you think you’re capable of. Especially when you’re just getting started.

Watch just broke. Want to track training. But Black Friday is just around the corner. What do I do?

Would be interesting if they could “sell” the unit or building then sell it back and bring the rent to where it belongs. Lots of apts that are rented cannot be invested in, bc they are hardly profitable as is. So, they are falling apart and infested. Good location though.

Old Dominion 100 is no longer a @wser qualifier, so I am scrambling to find a replacement for 2027. Some have already sold out. Bonus points if it helps build my @badwater resume.

They are a joke. @Strava has tons of data from runners, but they don’t have the context. Someone is running a major marathon and enjoying it, has a cold, is recovering from an injury - it has no clue. So the ai generates… useless predictions.
Strava and Garmin’s marathon predictions as of this morning both have me right around 2:40. I think they’re underestimating me. We’ll find out at Chicago on Sunday. Curious how accurate these have been for everyone else. What did yours predict vs. what did you actually run?

Congrats on starting a new chapter! Looking forward to seeing what happens. Never been to Austin but it’s in the list!
