ONE YEAR ON.
A year ago today, thousands of Wednesdayites stayed away from Hillsborough for the home game against Middlesbrough.
The boycott sent a clear message. Supporters had simply had enough and wanted change.
Looking back twelve months on, it was arguably the final straw for the former chairman. A powerful demonstration of just how far things had gone and how strongly supporters felt about the direction of our football club.
The boycott was just one part of a much wider effort. Months of protests, campaigns and countless hours of voluntary work from Wednesdayites who simply wanted better.
A year on, there’s still plenty of work ahead, but the difference in where we find ourselves today is remarkable.
Twelve months ago, we were demanding a better future for Sheffield Wednesday. Today, we have the opportunity to build one.
Never underestimate what Wednesdayites can achieve when we pull together.
Nothing is Insurmountable.

Nick opens up about the devastating loss of his wife of 30 years, Debs, followed by the loss of his son, Jack, who died by suicide aged just 27.
We talk about family, growing up as a tight unit, navigating two profound bereavements, and supporting Jack through his mental illness.
Jack was adventurous, determined, handsome and strong. He was so much more than his illness, and Nick is determined to ensure Jack’s legacy lives on by helping other fathers experiencing similar grief.

Luke stood alongside us during the protest movement, helping distribute protest scarves through the Warehouse when things were desperate. That’s something we’ll never forget, and we’ll always be grateful for his support.
To now see him working alongside the club he loves, with his incredible collection proudly on display at Hillsborough, is a wonderful full-circle moment.
We’re absolutely made up for you. Nobody deserves it more. 💙🦉
