When will we ever learn? 2 carbon capture programmes going ahead in England. £21 billion. Acorn in Scotland get promised £200 million. Now withdrawn. London will get £2.9 billion in revenues from Jackdaw. What do we suckers in Jockland get.Noise and deindustrialisation.
Learn.

15 Megaprojects kicking off in UK, each one costing £billions. From Barrow in Furness, Submarines, Derby, small Nuclear Reactors, London, Lower Thames Crossing, HS2, Cross Penine Railway, all one thing in common, Scotland excluded except for putting it on our Credit Card at 8.6%.

After scaremongering about Scotland, now this week we find out the UK has NOT paid £3 trillion worth of bills. 😃🙄
Nigel Farage asks how independent Scotland will pay the bills then closes the interview when @AngusMacNeilSNP points out the UK hasn’t paid its bills since 1945.

🗣️ Westminster has finally admitted that Scotland should have had an oil fund worth at least £1 trillion. Scotland’s vast energy wealth has been squandered. Scotland must not lose out again. Every penny of energy wealth from Scotland’s waters must be reinvested into Scotland!

Surprise, Surprise, Westminster allocate £7million to explore possibility of bringing the Olympics to the North, ( of England ) hoping we forget that they gave nothing to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. They don’t even try to hide their disdain for Scotland, thank you SNP.

Being a Scot who’s lived & worked around the world as a Financial Analyst within the Oil Sector I’ve always been disgusted by WM’s lies about how poor Scotland would have been if it were Independent.
They have destroyed Scottish citizens children & grandchildren’s fiscal future

We now know that the government lied to Scots in 2014 about our oil running out. This is reason alone to have another referendum.

Our FM is currently embarked on a major trade and business tour of India, promoting Scotland and securing inward investment. You might think, in any normal country, this would be covered by our national news broadcaster as a matter of routine. But…

BBC’s Cook reporting from the Rosebank field, interviewing some oil guy who glibly threw in the fact that there are still multiple fields the same size to be exploited.
Still not a chirp from the colonisers or colonised about their “running out in 5 years” lie in 2014.

In 2014 North Sea reserves were framed as a fiscal liability with only 5 years left?
Miraculously, today they are exploited as a national asset!!
A study in statecraft LIES. Framing Scottish resources as a declining asset to suppress self-determination.

This is the official map of Scottish territorial waters according to UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea). There is therefore no discussion or debate to be had, Jackdaw & Rosebank are very firmly in Scottish waters according to international law.

Brexit voter in Makerfield tells Beth Rigby,
"Everything seemed better when we were in the European Union. Boris Johnson just convinced everyone that we would be so much better off, didn't he"
Another says he didn't make the right choice to vote for Brexit because Brexit ended,
"The freedom of movement, the freedom of travel"
My view:
Johnson helped sell Brexit as a painless route to prosperity, then chose a version that put new barriers between British firms and their biggest nearby market. When the trade-offs became unavoidable, he blamed others rather than own the consequences.
Farage helped turn grievance into a political movement, but campaigning for a rupture is easier than taking responsibility for its aftermath. He could claim victory, leave others to manage the fallout and return whenever there was another grievance to exploit.
That is the populist trick: make a complicated choice sound effortless, dismiss anyone describing the costs as an enemy, then blame someone else when those costs arrive.
The people who believed the promises deserve honesty now. The politicians who made them owe the country an accounting.
And if Brexit voters in Makerfield have changed their minds, they are far from alone.
YouGov’s latest polling found 59% support for rejoining the EU, against 32% opposed.
With Britain needing stronger growth and more opportunities, the case for restoring closer ties—and the freedom to live, work and study across Europe—is stronger than ever.

🇳🇴 Norway’s national wealth fund: £2 trillion.
🏴 Scotland’s national wealth fund under Westminster control: £0.
Norway has invested its energy wealth for the benefit of current and future generations, helping to support its public finances. Whilst Westminster has squandered this opportunity for Scotland.
‘We'd have a British sovereign wealth fund now that will be worth probably a trillion pounds’

If you believe this BS from the sleekit English nationalists and protectionists you must be dim. We’re up to our neck in renewables, and our workers at Grangemouth are still waiting for the £200m transition funding. As always, we are being used and abused by an another country.

Of course it was Labour - and a Labour Chancellor - who hid from the public a civil service report showing how wealthy an independent Scotland would become if we controlled our own oil reserves. Instead they told us oil would soon run out. Scots were duped. Meanwhile Norway…..

Replace the word Britain with Scotland.
That's why they shut down the Stock Exchange in Glasgow and Edinburgh as soon as they realised the vast wealth in the North Sea.

Britain’s missing sovereign wealth fund… Treasury officials have modelled that had the UK done what Norway did with North Sea revenues, there would be a £1 trillion fund…
As Chancellor sets up Energy Wealth Fund, a look at the long historical argument about where the oil windfall went, including from interviews with those who have run Norways $2.4 trillion fund, now the biggest in the world, filled from the proceeds of the same North Sea.
