They brought Angel to a vet clinic for care after she had already died.
Manheim Township police in Pennsylvania say Annabelle Joseph, 36, and Jesus Zapata-Fajardo, 37, carried in their 2 year old poodle mix. Angel was malnourished.
A necropsy found a corn cob lodged in her small intestine and says her poor condition likely started before that.
Both are charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and are due in court Wednesday.

The accusations, the propaganda, the manipulation of public opinion. Everything I’ve been calling out since the mistrial.
It’s disgusting how far I believe this defense team has gone to get their client acquitted, even at the expense of a juror’s privacy and safety.
HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE HAVE TO SUFFER BECAUSE OF LINDSAY CLANCY’S ACTIONS?
Three children are dead. Families have been devastated. People are being dragged into this mess, money is being drained, and the public is putting blinders on to anything that challenges the defense’s narrative.
Now a man who simply fulfilled his civic duty has become a public target. He didn’t ask for any of this.
None of this would be happening if Lindsay Clancy had never killed her three children.
I believe she needs to take responsibility for her actions instead of continuing to point blame at every single thing or person instead of herself.
LINDSAY CLANCY IS THE ONE ON TRIAL. NOT THIS JUROR.
When a lawyer shows utter disregard for the court by maligning jurors and blatantly disrespecting a sitting judge it is time for bar to step up. He show contempt for sanctity of jury and disregard for judge.
