The strength & grace she has shown over this past year defies what God ever intended for man to endure. Then again she has always defied what was intended for man. There will be other candidates. Other elections. But there will only ever be one @HillaryClinton. #ThankYouHillary

The world has lost one of its greatest champions for justice and civil rights for farmworkers…of all working people.
I have always believed food can change the world. Dolores Huerta showed us that change begins with the people who grow and harvest our food.
I will honor her legacy by continuing to fight for a world where the people who feed America…and the world...can also feed themselves and their families, with dignity.
Dolores taught us: Si, se puede…Together, yes, we can.
Rest in peace, Dolores. Si, se pudo! Pero la lucha sigue…your fight lives on in all of us.

With the passing of Dolores Huerta, Hillary and I have lost a dear friend, and we’ve all lost a stalwart champion of working Americans.
Dolores wore many hats: voting rights advocate, human rights champion, die-hard Democrat, self-described “born-again feminist,” and co-founder of the United Farm Workers of America. To see her in action was to witness a living legend who never stopped pushing for progress and seeing every new obstacle as a fresh opportunity to educate, to organize, and to uplift—even as those efforts sometimes brought her grave consequences. I will never forget and always be grateful for her support for Hillary in 2008 and 2016. It was an honor to award her the Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Award in 1998 and a great gift to spend time with and fight alongside her.
Our hearts go out to her family and the countless Americans whose lives were forever changed by her good long life.

In many ways, the journey to where I am today started here, counting the rings in this Sequoia tree at the @museumofscience.
This is where my interest in science and problem solving was sparked, and it's my hope that the newly opened William and Charlotte Bloomberg Public Science Common will inspire similar journeys for generations of visitors to come.

Election Day is 7 days away. I didn’t vote until 2016, so I get it when people say their vote doesn’t matter. This week I wrote on @Substack about why every vote does, and went On the Record with @AndreaEHailey, CEO of @votedotorg.

“Now it is the time to act on behalf of women everywhere.”
In 1995, at the UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, Hillary Clinton called on the world to confront discrimination and inequality and build a future where every woman is treated with dignity and every child has the chance to thrive.
More than 30 years later, her call to action continues to speak to the importance of advancing opportunity for women and girls.
As we celebrate Secretary Hillary Clinton’s 79th birthday this month, we’re looking back at some favorite moments from her decades of public service and her ongoing charitable work through the Clinton Foundation.

My friend @FPWellman / @WellmanForMO is going to WIN the Missouri 2nd District seat in 10 days.
Read about the experience he would bring as a veteran to this seat and donate to him at the link in the first reply!
Q3 FEC fundraising updates are in. We now have Democrats at 90% to win the House, with a median of 237 seats.
One thing that catches my eye: Ann Wagner, in Missouri's 2nd district, is now in a tossup race.

People of America! Guam is an American territory and its people are American citizens. I'm glad we @WCKitchen can always be there, especially this year as it has been hit by 3 typhoons!….#ChefsForGuam @FEMA_Cam @fema @FEMARegion9
WCK teams are serving meals in Guam after Typhoon Champi impacted the island, but this is far from our first time in the region. In fact, our teams have responded to three typhoons in the Mariana Islands this year alone.
