90 minute queue at Turin airport for us lucky Brits, looks like about 30 people missed the flight. Well done Brexit morons

Like Nadine Dorries ? Well I never.
'We only want the brightest and best in our party.' Reform UK MP @LeeAndersonMP_ says there 'are no floodgates' in the party after Danny Kruger's defection, emphasising his party only wants the 'brightest and best'.

There. It’s not rocket science. The government & media are once again being totally played by Nigel Farage. Thank you @EdwardJDavey for speaking the actual truth.
"Nigel Farage and the Conservatives are to blame for the small boats crisis." Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey tells #R4Today that prior to Brexit, the UK's returns agreement with European countries was a 'strong deterrent'.

No you don’t.
I feel so sorry for millions of decent British men and women from all over the country who put their faith in Reform. They have been let down by this malicious circus. You all deserve so much better.

Given that a clear majority now think Brexit was a daft idea, I don’t understand why the government still support it.
Five years on, few Britons think Brexit has been good for anything % saying Brexit has had a positive impact on... Control the UK has over its laws: 31% UK's ability to respond to COVID-19: 23% British politics: 12% UK's level of international trade: 11% British businesses: 11% UK diplomatic influence in the wider world: 10% National security: 10% The economy: 10% Yourself personally: 8% Public finances: 8% Strength of the Union: 7% NHS: 6% Tourism from Europe > UK: 6% UK diplomatic influence in Europe: 6% Immigration levels: 6% Tourism for Britons > Europe: 5% Cost of living: 5% Crime: 4% yougov.co.uk/politics/articl…

Pg 35 Office for Budget Responsibility economic outlook report. “Weak growth in imports and exports over the medium term partly reflect the continuing impact of Brexit, which we expect to reduce the overall trade intensity of the UK economy by 15%”. obr.uk/docs/dlm_uploads/OBR_…

Before Brexit, I never saw this chunnel train queue stretch way outside the actual terminal like this. Now it's all the time, because the border guards have to conduct full electronic passport checks (instead of just looking at IDs like before) plus the new customs checks on goods. And this is *before* the new obligation to apply for security pre-clearance a week before travel takes effect in 6 months. This terminal at Brussels' Gare du Midi is not going to be able to handle it. Travelling by train to London is going to become completely unmanageable. People will fly instead.

Well said @gilescoren 👏 @uklabour aren’t corrupt or hypocritical in accepting gifts. Tory corruption was in different league! Ans Johnson’s wallpapergate was corrupt bc Tory Party did not accurately report donations and had to pay a £17,800 fine.

Brexit stole the dreams of many of a retirement in Spain. It stole dreams of studying in France, working in Italy, & so much more. Our European neighbours have more rights, more freedoms, more opportunities than their British counterparts, young & old. Enough! @claudiatanner
My Spain villa cost half my UK home – we couldn’t have retired here post-Brexit’ “Spanish welcomed us with open arms, unlike the treatment so many immigrants receive in UK where far-right attitudes are really unsettling. We’d never return there” Our chair @Suewilson91 @claudiatanner inews.co.uk/news/spain-villa…

First they came for the weapons grade imbeciles who, unbelievably, compared an actual Holocaust to the idea of stopping people from smoking in pub gardens. And I did not speak out. Because there are literally no words to describe the utter awfulness of these hideous people…
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out Because I was not a communist Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew Then they came for me
And there was no one left

Confirmation that banning smoking outside pubs would have one huge public benefit.

I know from my departments how many uncosted promises the Tories made. But I’m confident we can and will make the lasting change we need, with social justice at the heart of everything. And I can’t wait for Parliament to return.

Just Rejoin the EU already. Stop this nonsense.
Lorraine Kelly gets to the bottom of how bad Brexit is! Why are we continuing down this path which merely makes lives more miserable?
