Why is an apology that hard, Charles?
Well, it's because the royal family made their millions off the back of slavery. #NotMyKing #AbolishTheMonarchy
As King Charles heads to the Caribbean, the Palace says the King will not apologise for slavery, but campaigners hope his visit can push the reparations debate forward.

He increasingly looks like a wet fish flapping around on dry land.

An asset stripper to this country would be more accurate. And while he does indeed make no effort, the 'charming' bit is the consequence of carefully managed media where he is never challenged over his abuse of public money and public office.

Why aren't MPs allowed to discuss the royals freely? @sianberry on being a republican in parliament. #AbolishTheMonarchy

I smell royal lobbying and interference. They can get exemptions from leasehold laws, but that won't work if leasehold is abolished altogether. A significant part of their 'private' income is from fleecing leasehold tenants.
The obsession with the pedestrianisation of one street is very odd.

The King will face protests demanding slavery reparations during his visit to the Caribbean this week, The Telegraph can reveal.
Activists are understood to be planning to hold demonstrations on the streets of Antigua when the monarch arrives, as part of a long-running campaign to secure compensation from European powers.

The BBC is filming another royal propaganda interview, it seems. #AbolishTheMonarchy
On #BBCBreakfast on Monday an exclusive interview with HRH The Prince of Wales.
Prince William pays tribute to Sir Kevin Sinfield and his efforts to support people living with MND.
We talk about leadership, the power of community and helping each other when times are tough.
From 6am on BBC One.
Then a special film - Thank You Sir Kev - on BBC One at 8pm and also on BBC iPlayer.
Have I missed something? The BBC doesn't seem to have reported on this.

So now he's just openly lying? Trivial as it may be, this was in no way his decision. All he had to do was walk across from his mansion and stand there for 30 minutes waving a sword around.
Knighting Kevin Sinfield βeasiest decision of my lifeβ, says William thetimes.com/uk/royal-familyβ¦
The BBC works hard for the royals. As they did for Anne many years ago, so they now do for William. And why? Because the royals can see their falling polls and can see the dangers that lie ahead. This is about fear of losing support.
