An infant died this week in Wisconsin from measles. Babies aren’t vaccinated for measles until 12-15 months. A newborn gets passive immunity from their mother (assuming mom has been vaccinated). If the mother is unvaccinated and there’s measles circulating in the community, a baby can become infected and die from the disease. As more virus circulates we’ll see more children die. This doesn’t have to happen.

Prior to the midterm election, CDC scientists sought to issue an urgent alert on measles in pregnancy. It wasn’t approved. This week a pregnant women died from measles. we’d never know it because there has been such an intense focus on him being a Muslim and his allegiance to this country. He’s being treated like a sleeper cell instead of someone running for Senate.
