We want you to be prepared with the contact information you might need as we head into tomorrow’s weather. 911 should be used for calls requiring immediate response for an emergency where there is a threat to life, a risk of major property loss or damage, or a crime in progress.

As we look toward the potential for winter weather in Greer on Friday, our Public Services Department is already preparing. Director Travis Durham shows us how his team is using assistance from SCDOT and modifying the current equipment to address any snow or ice we may see.

Last night the @GreerPolice got out to three different neighborhoods for this year’s National Night Out. After originally being postponed due to Hurricane Helene, there was still a great community turnout! We're looking forward to many more to come.

. @Greer_fire has responded to 192+ calls for service since Friday. @GreerPolice shifted teams to supplement patrol with increased call volume. Our public services team clocked 988 labor hours since Friday. The work is still not done. Full release here: 5il.co/2xzt3

🚨Traffic alert🚨 All eastbound lanes on 29 at Fairview Road are closed due to down power lines. Officers are trying to work traffic by only utilizing Greenville bound lanes. Please avoid this area.

National Night Out is right around the corner! Join the @GreerPolice on Tuesday, October 1 for a night of fun from 5-7 PM at City Park, Needmore Recreation Center, and O’Neal Village. National Night Out is one of the many great ways to connect with Greer PD officers.

Last week, members of the @GreerPolice Department trained at the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Center for Advanced Training. At this facility, Greer Police officers are able train with firearms, practice scenarios, and even hone their driving skills. 🚓
