This is my first.... and my last post of the 2026 municipal election. I hope you voted. We just left our polling station. I'm old school. I still find something satisfying & patriotic about doing it in person. (I think this drives my wife crazy... lol) I've done my best stay out of the campaign conversation.... for a few reasons, but mostly because I know a lot of these candidates. Its hard to pick one, and know 100% where they stand on every issue.... so I kept my mouth shut... 👀 and watched the campaign process from the sidelines. (Not to say you shouldn't speak up... YOU should!!) If you're aligned with one person (or two councilors) and you're informed, your support and comments create conversation. We need to have open and constructive conversations to grow our municipality. Not every candidate is alike, and that's a good thing. Thank you to 84 people who have stepped forward and have put in the hours, and effort. ❤️ One thing we can agree on, is these 84 share a passion for our community, and they have made themselves vulnerable and open to criticism the past several months. That's not easy. I respect that. 🏆 Whoever wins, you have my 100% support in your new role, and I will pledge my support to work with you to help make our community - Better, Stronger and Unified. Thank you.

"That night in Toronto with that checkerboard floor.... " I got a call from a friend.... "We need an MC for a gig we're doing..." What a night teaming up with Grace 2 for Hospice (Toronto) celebrating the music of The Tragically Hip at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern. The Hip and dozens of other Canadian bands played this venue. I got goosebumps being here, touching the same stage they all performed on. An Amazing night.

A big warm welcome to the newest store now open in Wallaceburg. "The Local" is carrying men's clothing and it's a great store! Love it! Located downtown just two doors down from the radio station and behind Goldcoast Fashions. You can access the men's store through the women's store..... or enter through the back door and parking lot. I love the selection.... I bought a couple of items, Very affordable and great brand names. I'll be back again.

A little appreciation post The Wallaceburg Concert Band They performed today at The Capitol Theatre in Chatham to celebrate their tenth anniversary. (BTW - a great crowd), This group of musicians are absolutely incredible. I get a chance to see a little of their preparation(a small snippet) The dedication they put into perfecting their craft would impress you. You don't get to step on stage and make that sound happen without good leadership (Dave Babbitt) and countless hours of work, practice and dedication. I'm blown away every time I hear them. A must see event the next time they perform. As for The show - The unique arrangements they select, Rock, Pop, Country, Opera, Movie scores.... it blows my mind the journey they take you on with their performance. Truly a Gem of Chatham Kent that everyone needs to see once. (You'll go back) .. ❤️🎶 Thank you.
