Disgusting antisemitism from @Dam_McCarthy/@OppositionWe, one of Brighton and Hove's most notorious antisemites. Just disgusting.👇

Zack Polanski doesn't believe a word of this clickbait, Greg Hadfield-induced bollocks. The Polanski of old would have never have dangerously attributed the actions of individual Israeli Govt's to 'Zionism'. What a disgraceful, unprincipled man.
Hi @bbclaurak,
Zionism has resulted in the bombing of children & the killing of tens of thousands of innocent people in Gaza.
Again - the actual controversy is the Labour Government are arming that & the BBC 'debate' if it's racist.
How's that for answering the question?

Having witnessed the disintegration of the Corbyn project in the Labour Party caused by trying to appease the Zionist lobby, it's vital the Green Party doesn't make the same mistakes. You cannot appease genocidaires. You have to confront and defeat them.
A statement from Green Party Members on the attempts by certain individuals to undermine our party democracy, the ONLY truly democratic mainstream political party.
We will NOT at a time our systems are failing & destroying our communities, tolerate the silencing of voices. We are a party BY members FOR members, for the express reason of protecting, empowering & building our communities & reawakening hope, which we all so desperately need.
Please share and MORE IMPORTANTLY, please join us in the @TheGreenParty

I’ve worked with some fantastic journalists in my 29 years on the job. My pride at @Gabriel_Pogrund knows no bounds for example. But what @RosamundUrwin had to go through to get the Brand allegations past the lawyers and over the line is of a different order from anything I’ve ever achieved in this job. She is brave, principled, a great reporter, a beautiful writer and a gutsy human being. I am frankly proud to know her let alone call her a friend. The KC who lost his rag earlier should rot in hell
Green slump? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It was a pleasure to appear on @CrispinShow a few days ago. Good overview of the project here. Feel free to pop any questions in the comments and I will get back to you!

So this is why Peter Kyle has had his head down since being sacked!

It would, of course, not be allowed in a court of law.
It is against natural justice.
A complaint to the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman if, after 16 weeks, an issue cannot be resolved locally.
Cllr Galvin made a complaint about the investigation many weeks - but did not even get a response. Or a Complaint Reference Number (required by the Ombudsman).
There are very limited grounds for a local appeal, to get the chance of another full - 10-hour? - hearing with a new panel.
Cllr Galvin will appeal.
Thereafter, a Judicial Review may be the best way forward. We’ll see.

Is it possible to make accusations and not attend a hearing let alone not allow the accused person not to see the statements by the 'witnesses '? Is there not an ombudsman who oversees such procedures?
Ivor Caplin update:
Interesting to hear that Caplin, having registered as homeless in Brighton and Hove, suffered some sort of stroke.
As a result, he spent many weeks in Worthing Hospital, with a transfer being arranged for him to go to an unspecified care home in Hove.
In September, Sussex Police confirmed to one source that Caplin was still under investigation and some sort of decision was [vaguely] imminent.
So let's wish him well, so he can appear in court if required.
Meanwhile, here is Peter Kyle's best friend with all the newly-elected @bhlabour members he picked and approved as candidates in 2023:
I know Ty Galvin is delighted to receive so many messages and telephone calls of support (albeit several from @bhlabour colleagues keen to know if he will quit tonight and force a by-election 😀)
As the comment sections begin to fill with similar messages on Facebook, @brightonargus, and @bhcitynews, I wanted to share the four references we provided to the Standards Panel.
We could have provided 400, as I told panel-members!

Listening to the part of my audio recording of the "independent" investigator's interview of Cllr Ty Galvin is instructive - especially the parts relating to Cllr Sam Parrott.
Here they are:

In fact - as I know! - an accused eventually gets witness evidence under disclosure rules and can then cross-examine the prosecution witness (if the court finds the evidence at all relevant).
In Ty's case, the prosecution did not call any witnesses.
And the defence was not allowed to call any witnesses.
