You’ll hear a lot about Democrats and “affordability” tonight. Data shows the party embraced it after @ZohranKMamdani beat Cuomo. A week before, the NYT ed board said Mamdani didn’t deserve “a spot on New Yorkers’ ballots.” The pundits don’t change even when the party does.

Detroit’s Virginia Jackson says she was going to vote for Mike Rogers, “but when Haley Stevens did what she did, it changed my mind back to Abdul. You use the Black church to try to convince me that Rogers is the right one? Oh no, no.”
Jackson says she also voted for John James.
Recent polls:
77% of Democrats think Israel committed a genocide in Gaza (poll.qu.edu/images/polling/u…)
74% of Democrats oppose “additional economic or military support for Israel.” (nytimes.com/interactive/2026…)
Only 13% of Democrats have a favorable opinion of Israel, less than the % of Democrats who wanted all abortions to be illegal (nbcnews.com/politics/2026-el…)
Cited our America Actually reporting from Republican events also, where the issue comes up repeatedly
The scandalized coverage of El-Sayed’s position doesn’t match the numbers. And Trump’s announcement today should also be viewed through the lens
On U.S. politics and Israel, Astead Herndon (@asteadWH) just made a point on a CNN panel that I've been waiting for someone to make --
Pro-Palestinian views that are often portrayed as "extreme" or "fringe" simply aren't.
E.g. this Economist poll on the genocide question:
Cool, adios and get fucked Google.

A perfect example of why monopolies should be crushed out of existence.
Google is now threatening America's schools, saying they will turn off their core search functions if schools choose to entirely block AI.

It’s not even 8AM and I can already say that AIPAC coming out against punishing dissent is the funniest thing I’ll read today.
“We cannot preach inclusion while punishing dissent. We cannot promise to heal a divided country if we cannot tolerate disagreement among ourselves. And we cannot build a lasting majority by making Americans feel their concerns are unwelcome.
Loyalty to a party should never require abandoning your values or judgment.”

Before you vote tomorrow, fill up your tank and go grocery shopping — it will inform your decision.
Exclusively?! Stevens has been talking to reporters, posting videos and written treatises and doing televised interviews for days on end…

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

After E day don't just look at who wins, look at who overperforms.
Our bet: it'll be a smoke jumper in MT, firefighter in PA, fourth generation farmer in NC, teacher in FL, music star in the RGV, and religious leaders in IA, KS, and TX

Come on, @JeffreyGoldberg. This is just open, unalloyed Islamophobia by your @TheAtlantic staff. Have you no journalistic integrity or common decency?

This is false and dangerous rhetoric from Mike Rogers: “The next generation of kids thinks it’s really cool to be against the Jews.”
No Mike, the next generation and my generation and the generations in between are against funding wars in the Middle East.
Mike and others do a great disservice to Jewish people when they imply that opposition to Netanyahu’s wars is equivalent to antisemitism.
