I’ve spent a few days thinking about the Tesla Roadster reveal and landed somewhere I haven’t seen much discussion. I’m neither a Tesla fanboy nor a Tesla hater. And I couldn’t care less whether what we saw technically qualifies as a flying car. Three takeaways: (1) The risk of that live demonstration going horribly wrong was real. Almost no CEO would willingly expose their company to that kind of public humiliation for a product with so little financial upside. Elon did. (2) That willingness to attempt the seemingly impossible is what makes Tesla special. It’s also arguably Elon’s greatest contribution to America. He’s helped bring back something we’ve lost. The American spirit of chasing big scary ideas that most people think are impossible. That mindset is spreading across a new generation of founders and its long term impact on America’s future could dwarf anything Tesla ever sells. I think this is deeply underappreciated. (3) Can we just acknowledge how insanely cool that moment was? We’ve reached a strange place culturally where even extraordinary feats of human ingenuity immediately become arguments about why they don’t count. Not everything needs to be a debate. Sometimes we should just be able to stand back together and marvel at what humans are capable of. I’ve been both bullish and critical of Tesla’s ambitions over the years. But watching Elon and his team push the boundaries of what’s possible reminds me why I’m glad we have him. Whether the Roadster ever makes Tesla a dollar or impacts $TSLA stock price is almost beside the point. We need more people willing to risk failure in pursuit of things the rest of us think are impossible. Because when they succeed we all win.

Great @Muse experience, the type that keeps you around: Mom fell. (She’s fine). Dad sent long text saying she fell and needs help. Muse sent ping before I got the message alert, with phone number of where they’re staying. Called with one tap to get her status.

One of my biggest issues on here. When stocks are rising, no one ever talks about taking profits and protecting capital and hands out ridiculous prices targets. Anyone who does is labeled a “idiot shill spreading FUD who doesn’t understand the company.” When stocks are dropping, no one ever talks about buying at key levels because the bottom isn’t in and hands out price targets 20-50% lower. Anyone who does buy at key levels is an “idiot bag holder who couldn’t clearly see the decline”. It’s the upside down.

I recently had the opportunity to attend @GregProctor Options Trading Masterclass, and I can honestly say it was one of the best training experiences I’ve had. I originally signed up for the May 2nd session but couldn’t attend live. Greg kindly sent me the recording, which I studied thoroughly and turned into detailed notes. Later, he generously invited me to join the live Masterclass on May 30th — and I’m extremely glad I did. The training was intense and incredibly valuable: a full 9 hours of focused learning with short hourly breaks, followed by an extended Q&A session that pushed it to nearly 9 hours total. It was great to reinforce the concepts from the recording while also diving into new topics I hadn’t covered before. The energy of the group was fantastic. Despite the inherent complexity of options trading, Greg taught everything in a very hands-on, practical way. His ability to simplify difficult concepts while maintaining their depth is truly genius. He is an outstanding instructor — incredibly patient, thorough, and gifted at explaining complex strategies in a clear, actionable, and easy-to-understand manner. He doesn’t just answer questions; he goes deep, providing insights most people wouldn’t expect. I’m now really looking forward to joining the weekly Diner Club every Monday, where members can exchange experiences, share ideas, and continue learning together in a supportive community. If you’re serious about options trading — whether you’re a beginner or more experienced — I highly recommend Greg Proctor’s Masterclass and the Diner Club. The knowledge, practical strategies, and community support you’ll receive are truly exceptional. Big thanks to @GregProctor for his passion and dedication!

All of the my 2800 $TSLA shares are covered with covered calls and because of the Wednesday-Friday 7% run up in share price, they are down about 100%. I'm not concerned and here's why. Wednesday Morning $TSLA opened at $386. I decided to get cute and sell 28 CCs expiring that day at $407.5. I've been experimenting with the new intra-week expiration dates that the CBOE put into affect a few months back. By mid-afternoon I was in the money. What I've learned over time, particularly with $TSLA, is that you can almost always roll out of covered call losses. So instead of letting my shares get taken away, I rolled my covered calls to June 18 (45ish DTE) at $450 strikes. Thankfully I did because $TSLA continued to run and by Friday we were sitting at $428 a share. Now, what do I do from here? Well if we continue to run, I'll roll out again before I get ITM. Eventually $TSLA will stop running, my CCs will decay away and I'll profit. If $TSLA does not stop running, someone is going to take assignment of my shares in the $500s or $600s and I'll keep the premium and share appreciation up to the top. I hope to market forces me to continue rolling up and out.🤞 If you can't tell, I LOVE options.

I’m always reminded how many different strategies there are out there. But the $TSLA community still shocks me. So many of us are completely all-in, fully committed to Elon. It blows my mind how deep this goes. We’re all a little crazy… and I love it. I’m going to start hosting some $TSLA degen Spaces soon. For those of us that selling options around $tsla. We all have our strategies to share that differ. Might make them recurring once we’re on the catamaran. I’ll randomly open one up first and see how it flows. At the end of the day we’re all just trying to make money. That takes risk, conviction, and a system you try to stick to. Commit to yours and adjust as you go. I could never teach anyone step-by-step. But I do enjoy sharing my story — the wins, the brutal losses, and all the “degen” trades I’ve made along the way that broke every rule in the book. No one knows the perfect trade or the future outcome. I just do what I’m comfortable with and let time do the rest. @GregProctor thanks for hosting tonight and let me ramble on.

We are seeing a historic earnings boom. The current year-over-year blended earnings growth rate for the S&P 500 is a whopping +27.1%, more than DOUBLE the +13.1% expected. With ~63% of S&P 500 companies reporting Q1 earnings thus far, we are on track for the highest earnings growth rate since Q4 2021. Meanwhile, Magnificent 7 companies alone are now guiding over $700 BILLION in CapEx spend for 2026 alone. There has never been a more historic time to own assets than now. Asset owners are winning.
