Just finished reading Never Try to Catch a Falling Knife by Skye Alexander, and posted reviews on Goodreads, Amazon and B&N. It's a very good book, definitely worth a read.

With the release of my first novel with Level Best Books, Lost Little Girl, I have updated my website and given it a completely new look. Check it out at gregorystoutauthor.com and let me know what you think.
Just finished reading LAST CALL, the second installment in the "Murder on the Rocks" series, by Cathi Stoler. I had not read the first book, BAR NONE, but will now definitely do so. LAST CALL is a terrific read, and I unreservedly recommend it.

Just finishing up a new YA novel called "Connor's War," set during the Vietnam era. 'Course, now I'm going to have to find a publisher, but i have a pretty good idea were to start.

Recently sent out ten queries for a novel I wrote called Lost Little Girl. To my surprise, four publishers have indicated an interest in taking it on, and obviously I signed with one of them. Guess it was a better book than I thought.

So, after only about 15 years I broke down and bought a new computer. Goodbye, Windows 7, hello Windows 10. I don't like it. It's much faster, but the games suck, Word is different and there is a thing called One Drive that I canot begin to understand. Bah!

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one thinking this, but I wonder how many COVID 19-inspired novels are in the planning stages right now.

Attended an Author Fair at a local library this past weekend. I'm not sure what the long-term results might be, but I did sell a few books and met some other writers who furnished a couple of interesting contacts for down the road.

I will participating in an Author Fair at the public library in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on March 7. Sounds like a good opportunity to meet other writers and interested readers.

I have started work on a new YA novel of my own, working title Connor's War, about a teenager whose dad is a Navy pilot shot down over North Vietnam. We'll see where this story takes us.

I have begun working with a local author who is trying to write his first YA novel. I know it will be work, but I'm kinda looking forward to it, like being back teaching again.

Working on editing a young adult novel written by a member of my local writers guild. I'm actually enjoying it. The guy is a pretty good writer.

Got my book into a local book store and six local libraries. I guess that's a positive step. I will also be part of an "Author's Fair" at another library in March. Wow, so much to do.
