Love how now that the blue wave/blue tsunami has happened, Republicans take the mask off are all like “yeah, the economy kind of sucks and gas prices are high it’s no wonder we lost.”

For those comparing the 2026 Tom Tiffany campaign to the 2022 Tim Michels campaign:
MICHELS:
- Fundamentally an outsider who didn't "play nice" with the state and local GOP.
- The GOP helped Michels, but they weren't spending every weekend canvassing (Save WI Saturdays), distributing tens of thousands of signs, organizing high visibility events for him to walk into, and utilizing all existing state and local infrastructure to work for him.
- Michels had a small group of volunteers and primarily relied on 3rd party temp door knockers. Some canvassing help from AFP. No canvassing help from Turning Point.
TIFFANY:
- In contrast, Tiffany is fully integrated into the state and local parties. The party and local volunteers are genuinely excited about his campaign.
- The GOP is firing on all cylinders and using all infrastructure and volunteer networks to elect him. The ground game is bigger and more organized than anything I've seen for a GOP governor's race in WI. The only comparison is the Ron Johnson 2022 Senate campaign, where Ron Johnson won in what turned out to be a bad year for Republicans, especially in WI.
- Tiffany has cash. You are encouraged to contribute more, but he can spend big between now and the election. This is a huge advantage because he and his team can spend their time on messaging + ground game, rather than organizing fancy fundraising dinners and schmoozing donors.
- AFP and Turning Point are also deploying a large number of door knockers. I knocked a door in Waukesha Co yesterday and was told I'm the third person coming to tell them about Tiffany, which is a huge green flag.
In short, Tiffany is running a massive, well-organized, and well-funded campaign.
We haven't even talked about Crowley, who is struggling with fundraising, has only a fraction of the GOTV staffers and volunteers compared to 2022 Evers, and has some party leaders and donors hesitant to throw actual support behind him.

Some of my favorite days on this app are when Republicans and the @WisGOP take massive L’s. From statewide elections to Supreme Court rulings, I take great pleasure and entertainment in scrolling through the coping and seething from the losers who just can’t stop losing.
