Ugandan Man Arrested Over Alleged Killing and Eating of 38 People
Mujurizi Moses, an alleged cannibal accused of killing nearly 40 people, was arrested on Wednesday and could face execution, according to reports.
Moses is suspected of having butchered 38 people between 2010 and 2025.
Uganda’s security officials have described Moses as one of the country’s worst alleged serial killers and cannibals and vowed to execute him.
According to reports, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, said he was glad to inform citizens that security forces had arrested Moses.
“The worst serial killer and cannibal in Uganda’s history. He killed and ate 38 people between 2010 and 2025 in Masaka, Ibanda and Kazo. We will try him in public and definitely execute him,” he said.
Moses allegedly targeted entire families, breaking into their homes and killing them, according to Metro.
Further details revealed that Moses allegedly drilled through the walls of victims’ houses before hacking them to death with a machete.
The allegations first came to light when Ugandan citizens approached the police, claiming Moses had murdered their relatives.
Moses was allegedly captured by authorities multiple times but either managed to escape or was released under disputed circumstances.
