Flashpoint: South China Sea published by @gmtgames has won the 2022 @AwardsCharlies Charles S. Roberts Award for Best Modern Wargame! Thanks to everyone who has played the game, and for those who voted for it. Thanks to the Awards Board of Governors and Nominations Committee. Thanks to you all for recognizing the hard work that went into making it happen including Developer @maudineormsby , Rules Editor Kai Jensen , Artist Terry Leeds and dozens of opinionated play testers as well as publisher @gmtgames . We are all humbled by the positive comparison to such fantastic modern wargames: 2 Minutes to Midnight, Resist!, Twilight Struggle: Red Sea and Zurmat. Thanks!
Wanted to share a phot of my great grandfather Niles Trent who owned this saw mill. He is third from the left standing. And make no mistake. He was a bad ass. Look at his crew.

I'm quite intrigued by the World Series bet between Johnsonville and Florida's Natural, which will see either 413,554 brats or enough orange juice for 200,000 mimosas change hands. Interesting marketing play. More at Bucholtz Sports Media (free post): andrewbucholtz.com/posts/413…

Good stuff
It's remarkable to see the numbers Prime Video has brought in for Thursday Night Football. Their latest broadcast, the most-watched TNF Week 5 game ever, further shifts the streaming conversation. More at Bucholtz Sports Media (premium post): andrewbucholtz.com/posts/pri…

Hot topic even in board wargames. What do you think about using AI for the creation or support of board wargames.
Few people truly understand #AI, and similarly few people can design and execute #wargames well. So this two-day working group hosted by the US Naval War College has been a delight. Looking forward to the second day! #wargaming
