Thankful for a great team around me as you are only as good as the folks around you. Got a few that have been with me the last 15 years and been blessed to have hired some awesome folks over the years. I appreciate the community’s support in voting me as Best Principal.
Georgia released graduation rates for the Class of 2026 today. For twelve straight years, our graduation rate has remained above 90%. It is something that I take a lot of pride in.
Appreciated the invitation last week by the Blue Ribbon Study Committee comprised of Georgia Legislators to speak on behalf of school administrators across the state regarding vaping in schools. Hoping Georgia will take some action to get these out of the hands of our kids.
Getting closer to game time. Already upsets today so can it be one more?? #HailSouthern #GATA

Just getting around to post Peyton’s first day of school picture from last week. This year was suppose to be about subbing while finishing her Masters at UGA but God had other plans. Peyton on her first day last week teaching 3rd Grade at Maysville Elementary in Jackson County.
As tradition continues, tonight I once again walked through every classroom and office on our campus before the first day of school. I prayed for every student who will walk through our doors, and every teacher and staff member who will pour into them.
Over the last year, I have had the privilege to be the President of the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders. That wrapped up today at Summer GAEL as I transitioned to Past President. GASSP and GAEL has been such a vital part of my administrative career.

Busy day advocating for public education at the Capitol and then back for baseball. Honor to represent our school system as well as my role as the President of the @gaelassoc. Good to see Rep. Powell under the gold dome as well.
Conference #1 as President of the Georgia Association of Education Leaders is in the books. Certainly “Winter” GAEL was a fitting name with the weather. Our @gaelassoc staff did an excellent job with all the changes.
Thanks to my faculty that did a luncheon today for National Principal’s Month. Great food, random comments by teachers, and students having me autograph pictures from when I was younger. Thankful for my Bulldog family.
Nice evening celebrating @PAGE_EdNews 50th anniversary at a formal reception at Zoo Atlanta. We appreciated the invite. @Erin70504893
