I don't mind repeating myself: users and Solana as an ecosystem need this to work.
MEV is completely unnecessary value lost by the user into someone's pocket because the swapping landscape is broken - from frontends all the way to validators doing nasty stuff.
The user suffers.
It has also been said many times: MEV can be reduced and/or sent back to the user through a more clever application design - this is what auctions ran by @PythNetwork do - competition between searchers (especially if an honest searcher is participating) will force best execution
The current AMMs work for price insensitive users but I expect more sophisticated players to want to avoid if possible.
