"In our country, we don't swear an oath to an individual, or a political party. We take our oath to defend the United States Constitution. And that oath must mean something. Tonight, I say this to my Republican colleagues who are defending the indefensible: There will come a day when Donald Trump is gone, but your dishonor will remain." - @Liz_Cheney, 6/9/22
Congresswoman Cheney was correct, & while Trump remains for another two years, Trump & Trumpism was indisputably rejected last night.
The dishonor is bestowed upon those @GOP elected officials & party leaders who brought it upon themselves. They refused to stand with courage, like Reps Cheney & @AdamKinzinger, & call out what their eyes saw & ears heard: tyranny from Trump.
Still, Americans, like they have for 250 years, stood up and banded together; be it traditional Republicans, Independents or former MAGA. They found common ground with their Democratic neighbors to reject the indefensible. They deserve praise.
To MAGA or MAGA-enabling GOP elected officials, you deserve & will be remembered w/dishonor forever, & you lost like you held office: w/meekness, impotence & cowardice. Including, but not limited to, @TomTiffanyWI @derrickvanorden @BryanSteil @SenMarklein @VoteToddNovak
Today, I have never been so proud to have left the Republican Party in 2011. None of those named above stand for anything for which Lincoln gave his life.

I was one of Brewers manager Pat Murphy’s P.E. students at Notre Dame in 1987-88, and I can tell you that this excerpt from @TylerKepner‘s article is 100% true:

Agreed. It is the only way to communicate. Right @toddallbaugh ?? Totally valid.
We love you @hwinkler4real !! Thanks for showing love to our Brewers. 💙💛 Like you, they have a whole lot of tenacity and grit!

This might be the moment of the postseason for me. The smallest, shortest Brewer, who rarely hits homers, hits one to dead center to tie the game after being down 0-4. The shot of Bernie hitting the slide is unforgettable. I love you @SalFrelick

Awwww
How have the #Brewers responded to what happened last night? Pat Murphy says the team is locked in.
The proof? This is how he can tell 😂
