Hollywood is full of people who want to make movies. There are far fewer people who actually make them. At some point, the ability to finish something becomes more valuable than the ability to talk about how great it could be. In fact, there is probably no better quality you can have as a writer or filmmaker than being someone who does what they say they’re going to do.

I just attached to direct a really solid horror script. Hyper contained (3 actors, 1 location), tight script, very scary. Swings big at the end. My team probably won’t take it out till the top of the year but if any producers (ideally with financing) who follow me want a sneak, DM me.
I'm in the kitchen, whipping whipping.
Somebody please go get and the dishes.
I got 20 women and 20 friends.
I can fit em my Mercedes Benz.
I'm like what you doing?
She like where been?...
I said wit you friends.
Been feening for something fried for TWO WEEKS, and the only thing standing between me & Louisiana Fried Chicken is their locked-ass-ed door I just tried to pull open.
#NowWatching: RoboCop (1987). White-minority rulers in South Africa threatening to nuke the Black majority in their own homeland. Corporations taking over and running Detroit. Police on the verge of striking.
Meanwhile, the scum in suits are winning like a MFer.
And it's supposed to be a dystopian satire... 🎬 #SCCPC

Potential meeting for a pilot I helped write with a filmmaker I love attached to it. I’m trying to keep expectations low, but it is super exciting.
That was tough. 67 different races on the ballot had me overwhelmed as fuck. NGL 😂
But I went, I voted, & I got it done. 🇺🇸
Kicked off Halloween 2026 before sunrise with Terrifier (2016), celebrating its 10th anniversary.
A bloody good way to start the holiday. 🩸💀

One of the realest things written about this business.
HOLLYWOOD: You have to go through it… and come out the other side alive… to really GET it.
You can’t truly understand it before hand. And you can’t see it clearly from inside.
You WILL think you’re better than the rest of society. Anyone who denies this is lying to you. You can fight it, but it still sucks you in. Decade after decade.
Then one day, you forget you were fighting it.
Everyone you know, now, is industry. Everything you do, now, involves industry. Even vacations (that time you’re supposed to not think about it or deal with it for just two weeks, you still check your phone, make calls, do emails, read, write). But it’s been so many years that it’s become normalized. You never think about it.
Thanksgiving is your annual encounter with non-industry people… And you keep them at arm’s length. Unintentionally. They aren’t talking about globally important stuff… industry.
By then, the isolation feels like a flex. Somewhere down deep.
A life you can’t easily escape, and don’t want to—ever again be a normie. Too many perks. A life everyone else wants into—at any cost. Despite not fully appreciating the cost.
Some people want out. They often move to Montana or the like. Usually because they weren’t born here. I was.
I see people here desperate to make it who I don’t think could survive it. They cry about much less. Sometimes I hope they never find out.
I could keep going. It gets far darker.
The anniversary of Shari’s death is coming up. This shit is on my mind. Pardon me.
Stay safe out there.
Hollywood ain’t everything. Though it feels like it, it’s not. Been there done that. Nothing else I want from it.
But I know you don’t believe me. So I’ll just say, good luck out there. 😘
