The fact that the "Beg Button" exists in so many cities is messed up.
For the privilege of crossing the street, pedestrians are required to press a button, wait, and then scurry across while cars + trucks give them a few seconds of grace.
Here's one I'd press in a second...

We're nearly a month into @GovKathyHochul's illegal congestion pricing pause. Here's a quick reminder of who would actually pay a toll.
*These* are the people who matter to Governor Hochul. This is who she's willing to cancel $16.5B in new elevators and subway stations to serve.

I'm all for Kamala Harris being a Madam President but Doug should still be called Doug. "Please welcome The President of the United States and Doug" it'll be awesome

The pause on #CongestionPricing doesn't just mean more congested roads β it means air and noise pollution, dangerous roads, business costs, lost time, and less funding for transit. @NYDailyNews

What this poll actually shows is that less than half of New Yorkers (45%) supported cancelling congestion pricing -- which, as polling goes, is a WILDLY, UNCOMMONLY low number for the cancellation of any imminent toll, tax, or fee, which generally polls hugely well.
NEW: Most NY voters - in NYC, suburbs & upstate, from every reported demographic - did not oppose @GovKathyHochul's nixing of congestion pricing, @SienaResearch finds.
They do, however, dislike Hochul.

Eventually suburban congestion pricing opponents are going to have to decide whether NYC is an irredeemable crime ridden hellscape or a place they want to come to so often that even $15 (for the traffic/pollution imposed) is too much to bear. Because you canβt have it both ways.
