Finn Haggerty with the game-winning shootout goal to help make the @HockeyNewton Peewee AAA team 3-2 shootout winners over Wellesley in a thrilling @VHLHockey championship game. Congrats to Finn and his teammates on an amazing championship run & an unforgettable season 馃毃馃彃馃弳
James Hagens draws an interference penalty on Martinook and the Bruins PP will get a chance to come up big late in the third period
Sebastian Aho with the go-ahead goal. Hurricanes lead 2-1 with less than 10 minutes to go in the third period
Matt Poitras stole the puck from Nic Deslauriers in deep and then hit the post with a backhanded bid. Poitras has had the best two chances in the last two periods and hasn't been able to finish them. Boston's 4th line has been their best tonight
Bruins with 9 shots on net through two periods and Tanner Jeannot and Morgan Geekie have a combined four of those 9 shots.
Hampus Lindholm with another tripping penalty, giving the Hurricanes 90 seconds of 5-on-3 PP time. Pastrnak giving it to the refs before they announced the Lindholm penalty
As close as you can get to a goal there as Kastelic shot bounced off Matt Poitras in front & took a bounce as it was going into the net. Kotkaniemi swatted the puck away from the net and saved a goal. Really good 4th line shift after the B's had been chasing the game for a while
Matt Poitras is at the end of the bench getting looked at after blocking a shot with his right hand. He was in obvious pain right afterward
Another slow decision by a Bruins D-man with the puck leads to a Fraser Minten tripping penalty. Carolina goes on a PP at the start of the second period
You could see that Carolina goal coming. Rookie moment from Frederic Brunet as he turns it over and it becomes a Jackson Blake goal in almost no time. Hurricanes tie it up 1-1
Pretty terrible PP possession for the Bruins where their first unit was going off script way too much and really sloppy on the zone entries. Set a bad tone for the whole PP
Mason Lohrei draws a holding call on Jackson Blake with some great puck possession work along the wall. Bruins on the PP again
Tanner Jeannot off for a hooking call at the net front. Carolina will get their first PP of the game
Lot of real state for Nikolaj Ehlers speeding in behind Mason Lohrei. Swayman makes the stop closing up the five hole.
Bruins get a PP in the first minute and Pavel Zacha scores. Great work by the Bruins to keep the puck in the zone even if it wasn't super clean. Zacha tipped home a spinning Elias Lindholm pass. 1-0 Bruins
Marco Sturm on tonight's matchup with Carolina: "I'm not so sure about a measuring stick game. I'm going with [we're facing] the Stanley Cup champion. That's what I do every year. For me, they are our champions...so we've got to bring our best."
