This is really good. The left is properly understood as a domestic terror movement.

yea. the most common example is probably the "bpd" type, who grows and calms and works through neuroticism through being loved

crazy how liking the movie office space as a kid is almost perfect predictor of turning into an office space adult

I'm sympathetic to this point of view as well. We have a lot of office space people floating around and it isn't obvious they can actually become human again. Maybe the most concerning thing is that we're probably going to see systemic improvements in health driven by AI which will light a fire under them in a way that the deadeyed do not have now and the transition from zombie back to human is a *very* dangerous one

The correctness of feminism is a function of the genetic quality of your peers. This leads to much consternation and confusion in the public sphere. Pretty much everyone is right, but in a domain restricted way. xitter.cf/Delicious_Tacos/status…
In general, feminism is wrong. Any feminist belief you hold is an Aella-tier nerd snipe you have to just shake off. Paradoxically, once you do this, you are able to love women.

his post does a really good job of capturing why most everyone hates lawyers. on two lawyer income they could easily afford multiple houses in a city appropriate to their talent level but he feels entitled to status in a city above his station

not at all clear why the existence of computational irreducibility implies biological computational irreducibility. biological systems are in some sense defined as computationally reducible. and certainly their mode of emergence (evolution, gene repurposing, homeostasis, modularity, boundaries) all lend themselves toward reducibility

Alexander Hamilton fought anti-automation and pro-import arguments in the 1700s that hardly differ from the modern day.

whores are awesome. like 95th percentile honesty on average id say. sluts on the other hand are usually using sex as cope to run from their trauma or inner self or whatever. sluts are pathetic and lame and more like 5th percentile honesty

there's some truth to this but it is also creates dystopian nightmares like lawyers married to other lawyers

Do you think it's even possible to have a healthy culture with something like the internet?

Now that people largely respect AI more than their own doctors, and given that AI diagnostics have been superior for decades (MYCIN, Leeds), I would not be surprised to see a growing movement by the masses to expropriate the ill-gotten wealth of doctors through regulatory cartelization and illegal anti-competitive practices. xitter.cf/MattZirwas/status/2113…
Today’s misleading AI in medicine hype: Microsoft’s medical AI beating physicians by ~30 points on ED cases. The real story: Microsoft’s orchestration layer doesn’t do much, basically just icing on GPT’s cake. GPT-5 alone, with a basic prompt, was 95% as good as Microsoft’s “secret sauce.” Beating physicians by 30 points? Kind of a joke. Does anybody think physicians are ever going to beat AI again on text-based cases? At first I did think it was weird for Microsoft to publish a paper saying its product doesn’t add much. Then I remembered Microsoft owns 27% of OpenAI.

The reason for "lack of culture" is asymmetry between offense and defense in the current weapons paradigm. Consider the effort it takes to become a Charlie Kirk versus the effort it takes to take out a Charlie Kirk. Now you know everything you need to know about today's culture.

I think the extreme speedup of technological change necessitates that we take retrocausality seriously. We can’t skate to where the puck will be if we don’t know where the puck will be. We have to have already been skating to where the puck will be without realizing it.
