Pierce those shining clouds and fly away, Toriyama-san. Your impact in your lifetime was immeasurable, and I'm sorry to see you go.

From my reading of the new law, I do believe there is a strong chance that possession of a DVD of Star Wars may now lead to a custodial sentence in the UK. Not clear that the officer in this scene consented and from memory it was reasonably fatal.
Jess, does this make Hollywood films, like Star Wars, illegal to show, now, because Darth Vader had a nasty habit of choking victims: first with his hand, later with The Force. Is this, for example, now illegal? Genuine Question.

The fact that Germany’s largest ISP considers 10 Mbps a speed worth discussing in 2026 is a fascinating glimpse into the technological ambitions of Europe's largest economy.
So lange braucht ihr für den GTA VI Download 🤯 10 Mbps -> 47 Stunden 7 Minuten 25 Mbps -> 18 Stunden 51 Minuten 50 Mbps -> 9 Stunden 25 Minuten 100 Mbps -> 4 Stunden 43 Minuten 500 Mbps -> 56 Minuten 32 Sekunden 1000 Mbps -> 28 Minuten 16 Sekunden Wie lange braucht ihr? 🧐

There's a reason this happens, and it's a very funny one. English dubbing has adopted this "imitate the Japanese" fumble because of the dub vs. sub debate. While it's largely framed around the culture war these days, dub vs. sub has been around for decades, and the old sub-only crowd was far more Reddit about it, even though Reddit didn't exist yet. They were the comic book guy, but weebier. At some point, English dub directors started taking their angry ravings on /a/ to heart. Previously, English dubs would hire theater actors, and just let them act. You'd occasionally get dubs using the JP voices for reference, leading to awkward performances like in the OG Gundam dub. But, for the most part, actors were told to act, the main caveat being to match the lip flaps. But the old sub-only crowd saw the very notion of Japanese media characters speaking in the same language, cadence, and tone as the people in their lives that rejected them as annihilating their escapism. You especially saw this in their reaction to the English voices of anime girls. Hearing their waifu speak with the same voice as the girls who rejected them was a genuine, honest-to-god trigger. I have personally seen some of the most absolutely unhinged and mentally ill forum posts over how a girl sounds in a language track. Haruhi discourse alone... Because these people were so vocal (and by god were they vocal. Even today a sub-only fan can't go a day without reminding you they're sub-only), dub studios assumed this is what the fans at large wanted: sound more like the Japanese performances. English dubbing got worse for the oldest reason in the book: trying to appeal to an audience who would never buy your product in the first place. To this segment of the anime fandom, Japanese wasn't the language of the nation of Japan, it was the elven tongue of their happy place. No English performance would gain their approval. And yet studios tried to cater to them. Now this is what we get.
It’s the typical modern anime dub that people hate. That breathy cringe shit has to go.

well, we also voice match celebrities in things...that's vocal modulation. I made an entire career off of modulation my voice for alien frogs, fire eating dragon slayers, personified countries, and ancient sages...

I would like to make mention that the act of CPR requires pinching the recipient's nose and placing your mouth against theirs We know logically that this is to give your breath to them, but any photographs and videos will only depict restricted airflow your law bans CPR

That is exactly what should be left to courts and experts to prove. All legislation requires interpretation alongside the facts of the case and the intention of the law. This is designed to ensure that harmful practices are discouraged.

Because Disney movies aren't about creating timeless fantasies for all audiences to sit down and enjoy together anymore. They used to feel like a special event. Now they're about making sure they can be cut up into viral TikTok clips for marketing.

A lot of remakes tend to be "ashamed" of the original in some way. Ocarina remake essentially accentuates everything about the original. It's exactly what a remake should be. I already need a Majora remake.

40% physical despite Nintendo counting a NSO sub and a Switch 1 to Switch 2 upgrade as a digital sale. Shows you how much demand there still is for physical even when you heavily skew numbers towards digital.

The French Revolution was controlled by the nobility, and they gunned after peasants. Which led to the rise of Napoleon just so it would fucking *end.* You proved my point.
Replying to @kenshirotism
The most violent, psychotic shit spouted historically comes from French revolutionaries just before they cut off all the nobles’ head or Jihadist fighting civil wars. You keep repeating badly constructed absolutes statements that are easily disproven by historical evidence.
