I've noticed that quite a few yanks take umbrage at the word cunt, and especially so when you say Trump (the blatant cunt) is a cunt.

I cannot believe I am seeing some online City fans abusing a journalist about his wife that passed away because he investigated and showed us all the detail of how they cheated.
Football can be so great but sometimes it can show it’s truly vile side.
Shame on them.

People seem to forget United generated all our own income, we were debt free and we did it all above board. Bought talent, brought talent through. And we were outspent in 23 of the 26 seasons Fergie was in charge

The #BoycottUnited protests lasted 48 hours. As soon as some flashy news came out, the warriors jumped on the campaign that would get them more likes and retweets. Even the vehement warriors in the comments under my original post spent the last 3 days talking about City with no mention of the protests.
This is precisely why I didn't get involved. I'd be a part of every honest campaign against the Glazers. Heck, I have spent tens of hours designing posters, editing videos for numerous Anti-Glazer campaigns in the past.
But this recent one was not an organic protest. It was an attention-seeking gimmick by 'influencers' meant to pass time in the 3 weeks of international break. As soon as something flashier came by, they moved on. It was so obvious

A reminder that back in November 2024, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham lodged legal notices which reserved the right to seek compensation if Manchester City were found guilty of serious financial breaches of the Premier League’s rules.
Interesting how @FabrizioRomano hasn’t commented on the City charges.
No question he’s on the City payroll too 😂
