Speaking of dry air, the future of #eta looks interesting as its fighting forces in the atmosphere that want to tug at it. Guidance suggests it holds tough w/RAIN at times for FL for a good part of the week. It seems to lose the fight and dry up heading into the weekend.

Conditions along the Gulf Coast are deteriorating rapidly as #Zeta edges closer. Inland areas will need to finish their preparations as Tropical Storm warnings have been posted over 500 miles inland from the forecast landfall point. We are LIVE 24/7 to bring you the latest.

IBHS and @TeamAPCIA remind you that shutting all interior AND exterior doors can help keep your roof on during high winds. Closing doors helps compartmentalize pressures, reducing the force on the roof by up to 30%.

Update: The NHC now forecasts Hurricane #Delta to peak at category 4 status with winds of 140 mph within 12-18 hours. Slight weakening is expected upon arrival to the northern gulf coast, but a Cat 3 or 4 landfall is likely. Take this storm very seriously if you are in the cone.

Because we are still in the possible path of the storm, DO NOT cut branches or place debris by the road at this time. It may not be picked up before the storm makes landfall. The City is still working to remove all debris from Hurricane Sally. Stay vigilant. Be prepared. Be safe.
⚠️🌀 6AM [10/06] UPDATE - Hurricane #Delta continues to strengthen, should become a MAJOR hurricane later today. Already a HIGH #RipCurrent risk in place for our area. Storm surge, dangerous surf, heavy rain, strong winds, & a few tornadoes all on the table late this week. #mobwx
