Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex, Surrey's newest facility, has two sheets of ice, skate and helmet rentals, skate sharpening, multipurpose rooms, food services, and free parking.
A third approved ice sheet is planned for 2027.

Proud to support Toyota Canada as it broke ground on its new Parts Distribution Centre in Surrey.
Opening in 2028, the facility will improve parts delivery across B.C. and Western Canada.

New - Surrey mayor is calling on the minister of public safety to appoint a national extortion commissioner to tackle extortion crisis, saying the role should examine gaps in Canada’s criminal, immigration, and citizenship systems. #cdnpoli
‘Our laws are simply too weak. Canadian law-enforcement tools are not enough to protect the public from the scale of extortion & violence we’re experiencing,’ the mayor says.

The extortion crisis is unlike anything Surrey has faced before. Residents and business owners are living in constant fear.
Police are working hard, but we need a coordinated, nationwide approach that prevents these crimes and protects Canadians.
I’m calling on the federal government to appoint a national anti-extortion commissioner to drive real, immediate action.

City of Surrey has yet to be given a timeline from the provincial government when a second tower at SMH – which it announced in the spring of 2023 – will be built.

Today, council passed zoning amendments to expedite expansion of SMH. On June 8, 2023, the Province announced a 2nd tower at SMH - while the Province hasn't provided a timeline, Surrey has proactively done our part to expedite this expansion
