I have a favourite timer app that helps me focus better. Realized today that it was THAT specific clock ticking sound I liked. Got coding agent to analyze the app's audio file and recreate the same sound using Chuck. (Follow @gewang. He co-created ChucK).

TIL Railway Storage buckets != Cloudflare R2 Railway advertises free egress. But there's no way to create a public bucket in Railway or make an object in a private bucket public. So Railway service + Cloudflare R2 then.

"Your name is kept here" 😂 Which of you have been adding terrible error messages to your apps and then giving away your code for training?

Wonderful post !!
new post: collecting favours sunilpai.dev/posts/collectin… a post on the idea of "reputation". tried writing it a few times as an abstract thing and I hated it, so instead I just wrote about my dad.

Just found the reason my Telnyx account balance has been draining. I have a bunch of tests for telephony integrations that I kickoff manually. I see about 70hrs of calls because I didnt add a teardown to ensure calls are hung up despite test failures.

Got my Twilio account banned I think. I only made calls from my automated testsuite to a number on my Telnyx account.

The Finance Ministry @FinMinIndia and @RBI need to better understand the difference between productive and unproductive work. Instead of reducing paperwork and unnecessary compliance, they keep adding more requirements for everyone, often without any sensible thresholds. Another example - under FEMA ODI regulations, RBI has apparently directed AD Banks that APRs (Annual Performance Reports) need audited financial statements of the overseas entity, even when the host country itself does not require them under a certain threshold. If you can't support startups, at least don't hinder them. cc @sanjeevsanyal
🚨 New RBI rule for anyone invoicing clients outside India, effective 1 October 2026. Service and software exporters (freelancers, IT firms, consultants, tutors) now need to file an Export Declaration Form (EDF). #FEMA #RBI #ExportCompliance #Freelancers #IndianStartups

Prediction: Most of Vietnam will have clean outdoor spaces within 10yrs. This will be accelerated by real estate developers with huge land banks that they are yet to build on (the largest developer has 19k hectares, 1/4th size of Bangalore, NYC, SF or Singapore).
Phu Quoc doesn't feel like Vietnam, does it?

You should know Rajiv Kumar. He is a serial Rajiv Gandhi actor, and now a part-time Vajpayee actor. * 2 films as Rajiv Gandhi * 1 film as Vajpayee (He looks like one of my former coworkers)

So @Cloudflare blocks their own login pages. And the issue was reported a year ago. Issue still open. TLDR: They make it very hard to login to wrangler on a server (no vpn; behind tailscale). github.com/cloudflare/worker…

"npx wrangler login --callback-host rocksalt" still uses localhost as callback host. So just opening up 8976 on my server's firewall is not useful.

The other option would fail too: wrangler login without "--device" would try to open a browser. The redirect url is a localhost callback. There is a "--host" option, but I'll have to open up my firewall so that the port can be accessed. But that would fail too.

The wildly opposite ai programming takes are a sign the folks calling it over are missing what's possible, because they were limited by what they came from. Dream bigger! others: "it's over, guess it's all rust from here" me: "omg there's so many things I can build in Elixir"

Just finishing watching this DHH talk > 2004 guy makes Rails. > 2026 same guy gets on stage for keynote at conference about Rails, and makes a PSA that you can now build using whatever you like. Because AI. Even if you dont code, go watch this talk now. youtube.com/watch?v=vDjW_dRy…
