CHRIS PAPPAS WINS NEW HAMPSHIRE SENATE RACE! @ChrisPappasNH has been a steadfast ally of Armenian American priorities, earning a sustained A grade from the ANCA. His opponent, John E. Sununu, disclosed an investment in Anglo Asian Mining, a company that celebrated Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansing of Artsakh as a commercial opportunity and now operates copper mines in the territory. #ArmenianVotesMatter

🇦🇲🇪🇺 Armenia may officially apply for membership in the European Union in 2027 or 2028, Armenian Prime Minister said in an interview with @euronews. According to #Pashinyan, the government has already begun preparations for this decision, and submitting an official #EU membership application in 2027 or 2028 is a realistic possibility. Pashinyan emphasized that joining the EU is a strategic choice aimed at strengthening #Armenia’s democracy and independence. At the same time, the final decision between EU membership and maintaining Armenia’s participation in the Eurasian Economic Union (#EAEU) should be made by the Armenian people through a referendum. #SouthCaucasus #Europe #MiddleEast #Russia

Michigan is set to vote tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3, to replace Gary Peters, Armenia's most reliable advocate in the chamber. Peters is not seeking re-election, leaving the seat open with no incumbent on the ballot. Over more than a decade in the Senate, Peters authored the Armenian Protection Act, pressed for enforcement of Section 907 and traveled to the Lachin Corridor during Azerbaijan's blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). "I'm honored to have the support of the Armenian National Committee of America in this fight. Armenian Michiganders are a treasured part of our great state, and they understand better than anyone what's at risk in this election. The Trump administration's blank check for military aid to Azerbaijan in the face of ongoing atrocities is a blatant violation of international law. As Michigan's next Senator, I will stand up for the peace, dignity, security, and self-determination of the Armenian people—and all people—and for international law," said Dr. Abdul El-Sayed. Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act, passed by Congress in 1992, bars U.S. assistance to Azerbaijan until it lifts its blockades and ends its use of offensive force against Armenia and Artsakh. Since 2002 presidents have held the authority to waive that restriction, and every administration has waived it year after year. El-Sayed, who is endorsed by the Armenian National Committee of America, as reported by Zartonk Media on September 30, won the Democratic nomination on August 4 by about 1% in a race that was not called for more than 12 hours. He faces Republican Mike Rogers, who represented Michigan's 8th congressional district from 2001 to 2015 and chaired the House Intelligence Committee. Michigan's Armenian community traces its roots to the turn of the 20th century and is among the oldest and largest in the United States, anchored by St. John Armenian Apostolic Church in Southfield, the largest parish in the Eastern Diocese, and St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church in Dearborn. El-Sayed grew up in the Detroit area with Armenian-American schoolteachers.
U.S. Senate Nominee Abdul El-Sayed Calls U.S. Military Aid to Azerbaijan a "Blatant Violation of International Law," Pledges to Stand With Armenians ➖➖➖ Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for Michigan's open Senate seat, called the Trump administration's military aid to Azerbaijan "a blatant violation of international law" and pledged to defend the peace, dignity, security and self-determination of the Armenian people, according to a statement from the Armenian National Committee of America. The seat he is running for belonged to Armenia's most reliable advocate in the chamber, and the man who holds it is leaving. Gary Peters is retiring after more than a decade during which he authored the Armenian Protection Act, pressed for enforcement of Section 907 and traveled to the Lachin Corridor during Azerbaijan's blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). This race decides whether Michigan Armenians keep a voice of that caliber in the Senate. "The Trump administration's blank check for military aid to Azerbaijan in the face of ongoing atrocities is a blatant violation of international law," El-Sayed said. "As Michigan's next Senator, I will stand up for the peace, dignity, security, and self-determination of the Armenian people, and all people, and for international law," he said. The blank check he describes has a specific legal name. Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act, passed by Congress in 1992, bars US government assistance to Azerbaijan until it stops blockades and offensive force against Armenia and Artsakh. Since 2002, presidents have held authority to waive that restriction, and every administration has waived it year after year. Enforcing Section 907 means declining to sign the waiver, which is a decision the executive makes and Congress can press. El-Sayed said he is honored to have the support of the Armenian National Committee of America. "Armenian Michiganders are a treasured part of our great state, and they understand better than anyone what's at risk in this election," he said. Michigan's Armenian community traces its roots to the turn of the twentieth century and is among the oldest and largest in the United States. It is anchored today by St. John Armenian Apostolic Church in Southfield, the largest parish in the Eastern Diocese, and St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church in Dearborn. El-Sayed grew up in the Detroit area with Armenian-American schoolteachers. He is a physician and public health scholar who led the Detroit Health Department and Wayne County's Department of Health, Human and Veterans Services, and he has engaged directly with ANCA and with Michigan's Armenian community throughout the campaign. He won the Democratic nomination on August 4, defeating Representative Haley Stevens by about 1 percent in a race that was not called for more than 12 hours. He faces Republican Mike Rogers, who represented Michigan's 8th congressional district from 2001 to 2015 and chaired the House Intelligence Committee, on November 3. Polling gives El-Sayed a narrow lead. The RealClearPolitics average has him ahead by 3 points, and recent surveys from Emerson, Rasmussen and the Washington Post have put him between 2 and 3 ahead. The Cook Political Report rates the contest a toss-up, while Sabato's Crystal Ball has moved it to Leans Democratic.

civil war speedrun
In 1918, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia briefly decided that the obvious solution to the collapse of the Russian Empire was to form one enormous country together. It was called, very snappily, the Transcaucasian Democratic Federative Republic. It lasted 36 days. 1/n

🚨🇦🇲 Before ANY peace treaty, Azerbaijan must: 1️⃣ Free all Armenian detainees in Baku 2️⃣ Withdraw from Armenian territory 3️⃣ Complete border delimitation 4️⃣ Recognize/protect Artsakh’s heritage 5️⃣ End historical falsification
UN Secretary General, responding to a❓about the 🇦🇲prisoners in 🇦🇿, says he supports the peace agreement 🇦🇲-🇦🇿, expressing the hope that all its points will be implemented soon, that progress will be made, and all existing issues, which he sincerely regrets, will be resolved.

Armenians helped build Glendale and Burbank, creating businesses generating billions in revenue, jobs, and funding for healthcare and culture that benefit residents of every background. That’s quite a weird definition of destruction.
In California, there are some individuals that would strongly argue that Armenians have completely destroyed Burbank and Glendale. ICE might just be onto something here...

Anyways, here’s an Armenian Apostolic Mass to cleanse your timeline 🙏
MAGA cultist and self-proclaimed "prophet" Hank Kunneman calls on God to "shatter the agenda of hell" in the midterms: "We lift up a rod of authority like Moses and we're asking you to drown every enemy of the Lord God of Hosts. We're asking you to drown every demonic satanic perverted liberal compromise RINO agenda." peoplefor.org/rightwingwatch…

Will the Armenian hostages held in Baku be exchanged for this servicemen?
The question isn’t whether the Armenian government will hand this criminal over back to the Azeris, even after prosecuting him and sentencing him, they definitely will. The question is, for how many Armenian PoWs currently being held in Azerbaijan will this criminal be traded for.

🇦🇲🚨 Armenian authorities were warned 2 days before a missing Azerbaijani serviceman entered a home in Syunik and shot a mother of three, injuring two children. Azerbaijani forces still occupy Armenian territory.

El-Sayed stands with Armenia’s Christians. He pledged to stop U.S. aid to Azerbaijan after it drove 120,000+ Armenians from Artsakh. The Brotherhood smear is false. No pledge. No tie. Fact-checked. Rogers voted to waive that ban and backs the state that armed Baku. ANCA endorsed the record. Sorry, not sorry.
This is shocking and disappointing. El-Sayed is a very dangerous candidate who supports the Muslim Brotherhood- a group that has terrorized Christians in the Middle East for decades. All Middle East Christian diaspora in Michigan stand against him. @ANCA_DC is disappointing its members with this embarrassing Muslim Brotherhood endorsement that the majority of Armenian-Americans in Michigan reject.

I see people on Azerbaijani social media speculating that Armenians will be released in exchange for the Azerbaijani soldier crossed over to Armenia. They even claim it was a planned one, to make it an excuse...
