There’s only 547 people. But Cut Knife, Sask., has a heck load of stories & nowhere to tell them. The local newspaper died.
It’s the latest town featured on my show Circulation. Airs @cbcradio today at 12 pm or here:

Sneak peek of stories you’ll hear:
Just trying my best to keep up. @CBCHereandNow
The best indoor rowers in the world are in Mississauga this weekend for the World Rowing Indoor Championships.
@HaydnWatters is not one of them, but he met up with some rowers and tried his very best.

A tribute to Hazel McCallion towers above Celebration Square in front of Mississauga’s city hall.
There’s been a steady stream of people writing thoughts and memories in a condolence book here all afternoon. @CBCHereandNow @CBCToronto
I went tobogganing live on the radio. And we almost hit the ramp. @CBCHereandNow

Our reporter @HaydnWatters spoke to kids about their wishes for 2023.
He ran into brothers Martin and Juan Becerra, who hope to go to Richmond Hill this year "to see the landscape."
"It’s so good," says Martin. "You see all the houses are big, super big and really cool.”
Wall to wall Poland fans inside Mississauga’s Orbit Restaurant right now. Lots of friends and family here — eyes glued to multiple screens as Poland takes on Argentina. And lots of schnitzel and Tyskie flowing too! @CBCHereandNow
Wild dash around Brampton for @CBCHereandNow this afternoon to cover Canada’s first World Cup appearance in 36 years.
Seven players on team Canada grew up here — and fans I spoke to today were very eager to point that out. ⚽️

A look at @HaydnWatters' trip to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. Take a look at that fleece wool!
The fair turns 100 this year and runs at Exhibition Place until Sunday.
Look at that freshly paved runway! ✈️
Instead of planes, there's a symphony of mighty machines on one of Pearson airport's busiest runways. ✈️
Runway 06L/24R has been closed since early spring, getting ripped up and rebuilt.
It's almost ready to reopen. But first, @HaydnWatters went for a visit.

Halloween isn't just for the kids. @HaydnWatters went office building to office building looking for people dressed up in costume at work.
Look what he found! 🎃
Just missing the bear's green chair! 🐻🫖
Happy #Halloween from the 2 goofiest members of the @CBCHereandNow crew 👻
Oh the places you’ll go for @CBCHereandNow!
This week alone: a polling station, several election night campaign parties, a garbage dump, an airport runway and a World Cup swimming event in Scarborough.
🗳 🎉 🗑🛫🏊
Today’s the last day to take down election signs in Toronto.
They can’t go in the blue bin so the city set up drop offs at garbage dumps.
I found mini mountains of signs at Bermondsey transfer station — from both losing and winning campaigns, even a few John Tory signs.
The goal is to keep signs out of the landfill.
The signs will be melted down into pellets, then “used/sold to manufacturers … to make a wide variety of moulded products such bottles, lids/caps, toys, furniture”
Funny to think an election sign could soon be a toy! @CBCToronto
Election season and Halloween are two of my favourite times. 🗳️🎃
So I decided to take a democracy expert into a haunted house to talk politics.
I learned there's more similarities than you might think.
Take a listen:

My biggest thanks to @jsbeebe for being brave and somehow continuing to talk politics while zombies chased us with chainsaws.
He told me it was "definitely the most unusual interview request" he's had. Thanks for doing it!
